  1. I posted a thread on this not long ago.. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=146494 take a look
  2. I've had one for about a month now and use it for about 15 - 20 mins each day. The co-ordination in my left hand has greatly improved, it has also strengthened the tendons in my wrists (left wrist a significant difference) and it has enlarged and toned the muscles in my forearms. I bought one to improve my grip which should help with my riding and other activities i do like windsurfing, judo, fixing my car as well as general day to day activities. I got the neon blue one from play.com for around £16 - got 12,something before but accidentaly reset the counter 11,947 is my best so far. Basically they're amazing, buy one, end of!
  3. Ye i've e-mailed then, i checked they're ebay site and they have nothing for sale in their shop. I'm starting to think they've gone under..
  4. Hi all, Was wondering if anyone had managed to buy anything from the trialsman website over the past couple of days? I tried ordering plazmatic crm pads and an eno freewheel and goes through to a sage payment system and says it failed and re-directs me back to the site. I tried the 07000 phone number too and that doesnt work either, it doesnt even start ringing..
  5. Because the thread topic appealed to me and i wanted to get some fresh opinions, why else?!! My rim jams are starting to wear down and was wondering if anyone has re-used these backings. Not sure if they used different backings over the years but fyi they're the white HS33 ones.
  6. What about old school rubbers?
  7. The cheaper one.. it can handle an extra 19kg
  8. Thanks for your feedback buddy, i think i'm going to go for an eno after having a think about it. I want something long lasting and responsive which the eno can offer me, and the serviceability is also plus. I'm not very good with threads but i'm guessing the 1.375" is the width of the overall thread? I have my eye on an echo team which has a bashplate so i won't have to run a bashring which will mean i'll have more space to accomidate a wider freewheel. Is the stripping of the thread a major issue? I wouldn't have thought that .005 of an inch would cause it to strip the thread
  9. I'm surprised, i thought everyone would be backing the Try All! And i thought with 9 prawls it would hardly ever skip lol Hmm i'm still not sure what to do now, the Try All is on trialsman for £45 which is a good price but if they dont last i'm throwing my money away.. lol and that vid has put me right off haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaxcEZX88qw Are the echo 108.9s really better than an eno? and what about the tensile 96 click (serviceable parts available), is that any good?
  10. Hi guys, My ACS has decided to take early retirement so i am forced to get another freewheel and I fancy an upgrade. I was going to purchase a White Industries eno when i stumbled upon the new Try All 108.9 freewheel, 108 engagment points (engages every 3.3 degrees) and has 9 heat treated prawls layed out in three groups of three. Sounds sensational.. Does anyone own this freewheel or has had the chance to test one out? What are your thoughts? Peace.
  11. I'd use some savlon spray, germolene or some other antiseptic cream. I don't get blisters as bad now because i have calluses where i used to get them and have just bought softer grips which should help.
  12. I had the same question here.. i could only find the Kot MS2 Shame, i think a 20" version would look really nice..
  13. yep, 1000mm wheelbase i think, i'm looking for a longer 20" frame http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz163/r...359_2614342.jpg That's the one, Trialsman. Check it out: http://trialsman.co.uk/index.asp
  14. Hey wait, I'm a member now Rock on! A friend of mine knows of a site where they still sell plazmatic brake pads, they might sell frames too. Can anyone else think of the name of this site?
  15. Try e-bay or the for sale section on here (though your not a full member as am i so may not be able to). I bought a few things from selectbikes.com, they currently sell the Echo Lite '07 for £180 Also I'm looking to sell or swap my GU Typhoon frame soon
  16. Keep progressing as your comfortable, you can always try doing it a different way in the future once your comfortable with the technique.
  17. Your front foot should be on the opposite side of the bike to the wall ideally.. (e.g. Wall to your left - Bike - Right Foot Forward) They will be bigger in the sense that you'll have more pedal clearance when doing them and also should you fail you can use your back foot to hold you position and probably wont fall off.
  18. No worries dude, I see what u mean. I'm desperate to sell/swap my GU typhoon trials frame in the for sale section but need to get validated first thats all.
  19. I wear a silvery white Giro Monza, great helmet. Light as hell, looks really nice in my opinion and keeps your head cool when riding in the summer.. here's a link: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/LargeIm...ame=44619-1.jpg
  20. I wear thin gloves inside my 661's which seem to work well. After a bit of riding, you soon warm up though..
  21. how would you rate the monty's then m8? do they slip at all?
  22. It voids the warranty with magura if you dont use 'royal blood'; but to be honest, brakes are brakes and I'm sure they will try to get out of most disputes by suggesting you havent set-up or maintained your brake properly.. I use clutch fluid for citroens which i bought from halfords which is virtually the same as royal blood but a third of the price. Avoid using 'dot' oil however as it will corrode the brake seals unless your using hope brakes which are the only brakes designed to use dot oil. hope that helps.
