Ok ive locked out several mechs, but im running gears now and have a new mech, which is hitting the frame (Y) If i take the R-clip off and remove the spring to lock it out, will it still shift ok?

:blink: unlucky mate, I fractured my ankle in two places on wednesday night playing rugby, went to hospital thursday and they said come back friday, So i went this morning and they just put a brace on as the fractures arent that big, so they said its best not to have it in a cast as that will weaken it. Which means im gunna strap it up and take a few pain-killers so i can do the tyke trial sunday. At least with the brace you can take it off and have a shower, when i broke my leg before my feet realy started to stink! hope it gets better soon buddy.

yer should be good if it doesnt rain, ill be riding a destickered coust, my back brake isn't too good though. Put down to do elite but might do red will have a look at the sections when i get there, my left arm is just a bruise! stupid fat old men! See you there.

Well ive gone to front freewheel set up now on my 26" but im having a problem. The freewheel is rubbing on the bottom bracket shell. It still has some threads left implying that it will screw on futher but its already tight up against the bash. Im running tensile cranks, coustellier bashring, FSA Platinum DH ISIS 128, eno freewheel. Anyone got any ideas why its not fitting? thanks patt

Just been thinking about bars and stem set ups and i know its discussed alot, but what are the pros and cons of the following? Risers and flat bars? flatter shorter stem? at the minute im running a brisa stem which has a fair bit of rise to it and was wondering how a flatter stem would help? Also with a flatter stem what would be the advantages of a shorter and longer stem. I ride more natural than street. Sorry as i know similar questions have been posted before.
