Sorry about my lack of understanding about the thriving trials scene in colchester, Unfortunatley except for nick or dan none of you were there when we rode Fri night till 12 sat 10am till death and sun 10am till death. We used to ride in big groups every weekend and now i never see anyone out, this leaves me with the conclusion noone rides, Ill look harder, Hope to see you guys i might even venture up the hill to town if you lucky, Trev

  8. Steve drives a Corsa 1.4 and therefore doesn't ride and half of his bike was borrowed so hes got have a cracked X-lite. Tom rides very very very very occasionally on his Koxx with no brake and really goes out to ride away hangovers on lazy sundays Colchester scene died when everyone stopped. I'm a dying flame of a dead fire. Trev

  11. surley they must run shuttle busses from the station?? you would hope so at least?
  12. I know what you mean i hate it when you go out and you bike breaks and you sit watching for hours it sucks
  13. Chai, Theres Elite as well which is what Matt is riding despite his "glory or death" speech there is no way im going in for elite expert i reckon for me. Trev
  14. I do have one but a very small ginger friend of mine called Matt took it to ride at Koxx days, didnt go in the end and then hasn't returned it since. I hear its broken and under a pile of tools in Romford somewhere. Thanks Staples Nice helmets fro the two rides ive used it on. Trev
  15. Just wondering what categories everyone is riding at NASS. Trev :turned:
  16. Just got robbed a couple of weeks ago and im awaiting my new ride which is coming my insurance policy let me do it on the house insurance. It cost be 6squids a year and was insured to the full value shame it was a diffferent more valuable bike that got niked  no fun. Use house insurance its sooo much cheaper and make sure youre garage is secure, mine obviously wasn't Trev
  17. Not wanting to sound old fashioned but if that is "new generation" trials count me out. Not only the "emo/rap" vibe don't float my boat but the swearing is inappropriate and gives trials a bad name. We all love to say i don't ride to get anything just for fun. But all un sponsorerd riders want to get sponsored and all sponsored riders would quit if they could afford it. You wont go anywhere if you angry or attention seeking. Truth is yes well done on the sidehops (i've seen bigger :) not much though ) But monotony is overrated. Mix it up and be alot more socially aware next video dont give this forum a bad name for your own amusement. Trev
  18. The reason why all alu bikes are made abroad is not cost but quality. The far east has been coping with the west's desire for aluminium welding for so long that anyone in England who can weld aluminium to the standard that is required for a bike is getting paid far more welding planes. We no longer have the ability to make good alu bikes in england which is why all British bikes made here are steel, e.g curtis, leeson. Also Britain has the natural materials to make steel bikes. For example Canada can not produce high grade steel like T-45 because it doesnt have the stuff in the ground. Hence everything is recycled. All aluminium bikes which are welded abroad my well be of the peg and the same ride as everyone else but there is not lack of workmanship in them. Especially not just becasue its made in the East sorry for the essay Trev
  19. To move the other way you need a very fancy tool from hope. The mount facing tool remove off paint or metla to give a straight clean surface and you can take as much off as you need. Not owrth buying one for just one use though about £80 i think. Local bike shop might have one Trev
  20. And how long do "cyclo" tools last out of the raliegh cat? not great I personally think that take it to bike shop, take it to my Halfords and ill fit cups for free. Park tools are the way forward. People dont ride cheap bikes because the dont work aswell so why assemble a good bike with bad tools, they dont work aswell :) ,? there is method to the madness or is it just being fussy Trev
  21. Dont complain if i got more length without realising it i wouldnt mind (ooh its such a sexual nintendo! he he he) is the disc standrad mouting or does it use a converter to the american stylee if it uses a converter than yes if it doesnt then probably i cant say for definiate but i think so Trev
  22. Head doctor is a gimic to make people thing the star fangled nut is dated but heck so is the err Wheel and the Chain and the engine is quite old to and beer and women etc trev
  23. Use a proper head set press sealed are fussy especially hope i personally dont like them not worth the money but thats another issue, If they are in skew then they wont ever be perfect becasue it designed to be straight so hats how it works best. Facing off never hurt anyone either aslong as it a proper tool not some file or bodge job. Try these and if you are runing the "head doctor" throw it as far as possible. Stars the way Trev
  24. Head set press's are very expensive get a shop to do it as you will never use it enough to get the moeny back your looking at 100 squid for a cheap one :) Trev
