Yeah she's a weapon on it. Before we bought the house last year we where out on the bikes most evenings/weekends at pines or some local trails and she got really quick on it, got quite fearless too which was cool but quite worrying, she thought nothing of red graded trails haha. That model came with toras, avid juicy3s, Deore crankset and SRAM x7 gear set. The only thing I want to change is the wheel set for something sealed so on the lookout for a deecent set of pro2s or similar.

Wish I owned a gopro soo bad after this mornings ride. Got to pines at 8.30, just got on the trail the same time as this German guy. On the climbs he was a machine and kept catching me, but on the descents he hadn't got the speed or balls for it and I'd gained a fair lead on him, usually if I know someone is quicker then me I'll step over. I think I got on his nerves and after one long run of berms his riding was getting really scrappy, he tried to overtake, took the top line where the berms soft and it gave way and launched him into some brambles . I stopped to ask if he was ok and he just got up and powered off. Got in the car park and I heard - 'Excuse me friend, advice for you. You sit down for too long in the climbs, get out the saddle and get pedalling!' I said, there's one problem with your argument.. What is that? You where behind me till you fell He didn't see the sarcasm and just got really mad haha.

Cheers Ali, the funny thing is the reactions it got around the car park and stuff, some guys where practically condemning it yet one guy was practically tossing it off. I know I could've got abit more for my money if I'd have looked at the canyons, lapierres, giants and treks but there's something about an Orange that just appeals. Knowing that some tubby guy in a boiler suit stitched the whole bike together whilst having a cup of tea is cool as f**k in my books. It might be fat, might be outdated, shit pivot design and a right old dinosaur but it's mine and I f**king love it. Was fancying Cannock today but the trails are shut due to wind damage

Just smashed pines on the five, it's unbelievable how awesome it rides. Didn't notice masses of pedal bob which was nice. The things I have to really work the onone over the five just floats over! Pleased I went 650b. Really enjoying the miles on it. The ixs pads are awesome too, soo comfy, they hardly moved too which was brilliant.
