  1. I've never used an Iwata airbrush, I've used a few Iwata spray guns thou and never been blown away by them. If I'm 100% honest the best spray gun I have used (and own) is a Upol hvlp mini gun, the finish achievable with that gun is fantastic.
  2. After waiting an absolute agggge, my devilbiss dagr turned up today! Can't wait to have a play tomorow!

    gu frame

Everywhere, and anywhere between 2-3 minutes usage usually. Maybe 1.30 if you ride street.
  4. Looks grand Dunc, really like that. Narrow wide up front?
  5. Thoroughly enjoyed that, even if it did snow!! I'm looking foward to a summer ride when I'm abit fitter and less fatter . First time airing the Five too, felt laaaarvely.
  6. Ed, I'll be getting to marquis drive about 10, what car am I looking out for? If it's the other way around just look for a dropped haggard silver passat
  7. I sold something on eBay the otherday to a guy called Cornelius Vender Oon.
  8. Is that the one that cuts tom Dick and Harry?
  9. I'm good with red, I can do black sections but just kinda choose not to, if I'm 100% honest I prefer blue routes just for the sheer fun . I'll probably stick to full red eitherway, I'm not that familiar with Cannock
  10. Might be bringing our lasses brother along with his giant reign, haven't heard back from him yet thou.
  11. I've always liked the name Tarquinius, can we call him Tarquinius?
  12. The five climbs like shit, it's either wheeling or can't find grip. Pays dividends on the downhills thou!
  13. Nah that's not toooo horrific, there's a section called lung buster, it's the first section once you've crossed the road to monkey trail, it feels like that> /
  14. Eurgh you weirdo lung buster at cannock ruins me ha
  15. Anyone still game for this? I'm not up for speed, just enjoying the trail...
  16. Probably should've mentioned that before, 2k products are toxic due to the isocianates released in the reaction, so the airborne vapours are lethal. It has differing affects on people thou, I know people that have been painting 2k maskless for years and years (I'm talking 40+) and other people who have been hospitalised after there first exposure. I guessed with the amount of tooling you have bought for the m3 you'd have an airfed in that pile somewhere
  17. Looks good Alex, I'm glad you've persevered with it and jot given in. It always surprises me how easy most people think good paintwork actually is. Most people that came into work 8-10 monts ago painting there spoiler or bumper corner are now trying to open a body shop. It's worrying really.
  18. Swordfiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
  19. The guns probably not helping but either way we can sort it, try a slightly heavier coat Alex as your picture across the panel looks very dry, doesn't look like the paints flowing as it's abit too thin. What pressure are you spraying at? Also the size of the tip on the gun?
  20. I usually just use the cheapst of cheap black aerosols as a guidecoat. Just dust a very very light coat over the panel. When flatting with a block and 600 paper it'll flat the black back off the guidecoat, any low spots the black will be left behind, showing you where you need to work extra.
  21. Any reason your going to 1000 grit on your primer? 600 is more then sufficient, anything over 1000grit and you run the risk of loosing your 'key' on the primer. Just keep working it with 600 dude, that pictures getting there, just needs the tops taking off those little dimples then guidecoat for high/low spots and you'll be golden.
  22. Still open thou, I'm still up for it unless it's torrential.
