  1. Local store did it at 400 with a 3m fender custom lead, strap and a few lessons.
  2. I think the idea it could be real is really appealing. It's not a massive budget 24 or lost, just a troubled bloke trying to find some quick big money with the knowledge. I really enjoy it.
  3. We're watching 1 per night and no more . We've sat and wasted full weekends before so this time we've capped it to 1.
  4. I'm season 2 breaking bad over here and absolutely hooked. Soo so good.
  5. I'm in love with it already, I can only play a few chords and simple songs at half pace fairly sloppy but it's got that picky top end sound I was after. Can't wait to start to get to grips with riffing on it. Ma+pa have ordered me the tweed fender case for my borfday too which I was after
  6. Got a phone call today and shot off to collect it.. Sooo much nicer to play then the LP, a lot less cumbersome and heavy, feels fantastic to hold. Lovely sound too even through my tiny amp!
  7. Love informative lessons, just sat playing chords, swapping between chords at different rhythms and different strum patterns. Got to the end of the lesson and was asked to play the same in a different order but pick the first 2 strings of each chord - Holy shit, I can play hurt by Johnny cash
  8. Thought it was, thought you were on proper wheels already on the nukeproof? Thought it was, thought you were on proper wheels already on the nukeproof?
  9. Is it 27.5? Dificult to tell on here. Glad it's working well for you though man, it looks great.
  10. My real music passion is 50s rock and roll, rockabilly, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Bill Haley and the sort so the tight picky tele sound really really appeals to me. At the minute I'm learning chords, barre chords and just generally getting a feel for playing on this Epi LP but it sounds abit 'heavy'. It's a nice thing to play from my limited ability but not my cuppa. The guy who's showing me the ropes taught me a sweet little rockabilly lick last week which has got me hooked and trying to improvise it out. Really can't wait to get it through my tele. Edit.. Shit, leant up against my '56 Rockola it'll look slick as.
  11. f**k that, 6 strings is melting me never mind 7. I've wanted one for so soo long, and I've bite the bullet. I popped into my local music shop for abit of tuition last week and the owner had a 50's tele I had a quick play on, felt absolutely awesome to play, a lot lighter then my LP (was never meant for me anyway) and abit more roomy on the neck (which is good for my sausage fingers). They're ordering me a Mexican Tele in lake placid blue, counting down the days

Renault have gone massively wrong somewhere in my opinion, they just seem to lack the pull of the Mercedes powered cars. Vettels a chump no matter how you look at him, doesn't listen to the team, throws his dummy out when Horner's not blowing him off an unless he's in the fastest car he sucks. I don't particularly like Hamilton, but as a young driver in F1 I think he comes across far less of a douche when it's not going his way. I am surprised the RBs aren't quicker thou with Newey on board, his stuffs usually cream of the crop.

Maldonado is a liability, sooner or later someone will get hurt seriously driving against him. I bet he's cost lotus a fortune already!
  16. If your just wanting to do it on the cheap just hit it with 3/4 coats of good polish and wax, that'll fill most paint defects well enough.
  17. That step up to manual down that white cliff type thing was SICK. Looking foward to that.
  18. If I'm honest it looks Shit till it's in the sunlight. I'll grab some pictures next time I see him.
  19. A friend of mine asked me to repair/recolour his 70s strat a few weeks ago and it sparked my interest in guitars again. I bought a fender telecaster about 4/5 years ago, looked at it for 6 months then it went in the parents loft never to be seen until I moved out, then it only went on ebay. After repainting my friends (I'll grab pictures next time I see him, he gave me free reign on the colour and the brief was anything not boring, so a 3stage candy turquoise it was. It looked beautiful with gold/cream finishes) I realised how f**king cool a well finished guitar looks, so I've bought 3 for restoration and to use as 'show' pieces, an example of my refinishing abilities more then anything. Having them laid about has got me watching youtube tutorials . Not bad to say they were supposed to be decorations... I've bought 2 epiphone Les Paul (a friends dad had a Gibson LP in sunburst when I was younger and it used to look gorgeous) and a 70s LP in desperate need of a resto (came with a hardcase that was full of late 70s-90s gig ticket stubs which are cool as! Missus has plans to make a collage with them) , I'll restore them all then after much photographing flog 2 and just keep my favorite. So far my fingers are battered and I've just about pieced CAGED together. So far for everything 'proper' I've learnt, I've treated myself with a snippet of a song so I feel like I'm getting somewhere/something to show off with. My biggest trouble is getting clean chords without catching other strings while on the frets, it's getting easier but still have the odd slip, anyone any tips?
  20. Running a washer between the arm and bolt?
