But of course . I've had their 'deluxe' cards with my own images etc, they're not too bad for budget stuff. At college I did a whole term on branding and business cards etc, I made some from magnetic letters. They looked dope as f**k but didn't really say anything about yourself . Just the letters TB with a phone number and email on.

Ferrari have never really interested me until I went to goodwood FOS, thy hss kids in the cars, drivers knocking around the paddock and stuff it was very very relaxed but very cool to see them letting the public get involved. Red bull on the other hand where like the SS..

All very very helpful chaps, I'm very greatful of it all! So far business cards are ordered as well as flyers, I've gone cheaper on the business cards for the time being and gone better quality on the flyers as they'll hopefully be pinned in music stores, furniture outlets etc. I'll spend a few weeks handing these around and seeing what response I get back from that before I push any further I think. I'll also get a Facebook page up and running so I can hit the ground running hopefully if this workshop turns out to be of any use to me. I hadn't considered the age thing Nick, that's a good point. I'll spend a few hours later scouring the net and try and find some popular forums that I can target hopefully. Yellow pages is a good shout too,I forgot those even existed!

Wings are a different story generally, on stuff like Jd's bimmaaah they will only offer a insurance approved+thatcham approved+TUV approved part which are as good as genuine in the fit. Most of the time the difference is in the steel used, genuine wings for VAG/BMW/Mercedes will always be thicker and of better grade materials but that's obviously reflected in the price difference. On french stuff and other far eastern shit pattern parts are more or less exactly the same. Plus a wing will be his only option on the front I'd imagine, I doubt anyone offers a repair section.

Right boys and girls, I'm planning on venturing out into the big wide world of full time self employment. I currently do kinda part time self employment working for myself when I have the work then falling back into my dads business when I'm slack. I intend on running a small spray shop, specialising in restoration/renovation of furniture, instruments, lighting etc. Anything and everything providing it's small enough for my premises. My concern is jumping in and just having nothing to do, so I need to be advertising! I know JD is abit of a marketing guru but unsure of any others. Where proves to be successful? My original thoughts where small magazine ads in the fields (guitarist, small ads in car mags etc) I'd like to work in and Facebook, Facebook seems ripe with small businesses pushing along. Business cards are an obvious choice and will be picked up very soon. It's a word of mouth business so just getting out there is the biggest step, but what shouts the loudest?

Well I've managed to sell my seafoam strat which I'm pleased about. I've been talking with my guitar tutor about painting a few for him so he gave me his HSS MIM strat and said 'do something special'. So it's gone from a dull battered fiesta red, to this.. Now, on there it just looks like a 3 tone Sunburst strat, but if you get close it's actually a candy colour, kinda the iconic sunburst with a twist. I wanted to create something special but kind of a nod to the old which I think I've managed, looks fantastic in the flesh and I can't wait to put better pictures up on here! Hopefully be getting a few from the shop to recolour in the future if he's pleased with this. Edit - Would anyone on here or know of anyone that would be interested in having their guitar refinished? I'm just gauging popularity of stuff before I pursue an idea. I've had quite a few interested parties through ebay too!

I love books, factual books. Someone recommend me something along the lines of Fender history, guitar design etc.

I love everything about that build except the hideous Monte Carlo z minis shell. They're so fugly it's unreal.

I never say it, apart from that one occasion.

Saw these guys on Jools last night, this frontmans amazeballs

Good choice sir. Unfinished sympathy - massive attack. Belter.

Personally I wouldn't bother with buying an aerosol of the proper colour, it'll stand out like a sore thumb. Head to your local good motor factors and ask for a colour match, it'll look far better against the aged yellow. It'll be 245% cheaper then halfords too.

I couldn't decide between 'Boats n Hoes' or 'I'm on a boat!'. I went with neither in the end but wish you all the best in your purchase.

It's not even post to stick to what we think will keep everyone happy. Everyone's just being massive twats. I haven't read much in the car thread for ages, and I now appreciate when Jardo puts up a pictorial war and peace because it's a break from the slanging match. Dan, regardless of your 'personality' don't feed the Jardo. It pretty obvious you two don't like each other, so just keep away? I know it sounds childish but this place would be far better if you two weren't hunting the next chance to flame constantly. Jardo, stop being such a car salesman.
