  1. Danny and prawn showing just how f**king old they are
  2. Sorry dude, yeah they're front. Never used a rear one myself, muck up the back never really bothers me as my gear gets washed after every ride.
  3. Front and rear of just front? Either way I use a muddy nuts Velcro on jobbo, weighs nothing, easy to fit and does a cracking job.
  4. Nah I'm still on tubes, occasionally I ride 20 or so miles to my sisters house and whack the tyres upto 50-60 psi so the 40psi tubeless limit wernt ideal for me. They're fantastic tyres from the few rides I've had but I think I'll have to do abit more playing with pressures before I'm fully confident in them. Front wheel nearly washed out on wet grass Saturday!
  5. I think turning his car off and posting him the keys signified this. You lot wanna burn him.
  6. Already got brakes sorted Dave, cheers for the offer thou.
  7. But it's your car? Find your position and bolt em down!
  8. The missus wants a 'Dutch bike' to ride to work and back. She's had a proper ladies bike for a while now which is tired so she wants that renovating. Just thought I'd put a topic up for progress really.. From great beginnings... It is a complete bike, I just didn't get a shot before I pulled it apart. So far on the purchased list are.. - Deore vee setup - White jagwire cable set - 700ccx35 schwalbe Delta cruisers in cream - brown saddle and grips - retro Raleigh chain gaurd - retro chrome pannier rack - front basket - Dutch/cruiser swept bars - Dutch style front led light Plan is to paint forks, frame, mudguards red, with cream accents all over then chrome/silver parts and tan/brown grips and seat. It's all been done before but that's her choosing. I know the frame style isn't there, but this is the desired end product...
  9. Buckets on side mounts with sliders make me vomit.
  10. Winter mode - ENGAGE! Dropped the shocks 5psi, fitted the WTB Vigilantes, cree t3 lights and the mucky nutz gaurd. Ran the WTBs at schwalbe pressure and they slid everywhere! Dropped about 8 psi in those and they are fantastic. They drop mud instantly and grip like mad. My only reservation is they drag like Paul o'Grady.
  11. I usually just wear a tee, but now it's cold I wear a base layer from decathlon (only about 6-7 quid) with my IXS thin coat. Plenty warm enough and water proof incase I get caught out. Mud in your face - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mucky-Nutz-Bender-Fender-Mudguard/dp/B00BYR67ZK All I run and I don't have a seconds trouble. As the sore arse, it goes in time. It'll be better with your padding but it takes time to work up the immunity. The ear thing I can't help you with, I usually ride with earphones in anyway so never noticed it to be honest, try butchering an old set of in ear phones if that's possible?
  12. Jesus Dave, I might dislike him but that's just criminal! Matt, pfft. Try harder.
  13. Haha, that'd work. I contemplated trying to lock it while it was running the other day but then I lost interest.
  14. Yeah, I'm kinda not a car thief thou..
  15. Could you line the mould with something like cling film? I've no idea if that'll work, just seems a good idea in my head.
  16. Since the cold weather has begun our next door neighbour has started to start his car about 20 minutes before he needs it to warm it up. Problem is his drive is below our bedroom window. He's been doing this at 7 every morning whilst I've been trying to sleep. Wouldn't be so bad if he didn't drive some million mile bag O'shit mk4 petrol golf with squeaky belts and rattling top end. He's done it everyday since Monday, including this morning. Laid in bed at 7 this morning trying to sleep and he starts his bloody car, it was running for about 45 minutes so I went and took the keys out and posted them back through his letter box. I've no problem in the working week (which doesn't seem to apply to him anyway, he's a self employed window cleaner and just seems to do half an hour when he feels like it) but on a Sunday morning is not on. So now I'm wide awake sat reading bloody TF on a Sunday morning.

Killed it. Bars and lid, for the price of the cree lights it's daft not too, kinda reassuring that if something packed up I had a second to rely on aswell.

I've gotta admit, on last nights maiden voyage solo night ride it was abit daunting only being able to see 10-15ft ahead, only made me ride abit quicker thou to get out of the woods . Very very enjoyable thou, added a new aspect to riding!
  20. Got round to repairing my USA tele.. Had loadsa chips on the horn and on the bottom of the body, colour matched and repaired

Sooo good. Terrible picture thou... WTB vigilantes are the nuts too!
  22. I've always wondered if you could run LHD+RHD on a track hub with bmx cranks. I dunno why and know there would be zero benefit but just wondered if it could be done.
