How 'vintage' are we talking here?
-
Forgive me father Leo, for I have sinned.... I've wanted a 335 dot for so long. I played this in my local store yesterday and couldn't get over how much I enjoyed it, I had to go back this afternoon. The Wildkat I had felt god awful and I always put it down to the 24.75" scale, but this thing feels fantastic. I originally went to try an ES-335 Pro he'd got in, but I didn't like the square inlays and the coil taps didn't really interest me that much, I concede that they sounded good but if I want single coil sounds I'll grab my strat. It also felt abit dull to whereas this Dot feels slick and fast, plus this is my first venture in humbuckers! It's impossible to not play blues/rockabilly licks on it. Timing seemed apt too, buying a 335 the day BB King passed. I really want some Texas Special pickups for my Strat, but can't decide if I'll get the same sound I'm after from a deecent pedal, which I can use across all my guitars. I'm building an 'SG' inspired Squier Strat for a customer at the minute, metallic brown/red with black/chrome hardware, HSS configuration too so it should have some bottom end to it.

Best emoji ever.

Pedigree Whippet Ben, he's turning abit stubborn but I wouldn't change him for the world. His Kennel Club 5 Generations 'family' tree came through today. Over half the list are previous champion show dogs! I know his dad won his group in Crufts a few years ago but I didn't realise he had so much in his bloodline.

Dudes a chump. Mercedes will use no different lacquer to any other manufacturer that buys in bulk for cost, if anything it'll be worse than that found on any Kia/Hyundai, big manufacturers are lying in Kia's wake when it comes to paint depth at the minute. Why the need to acid dip anyway? If he had anything about him literally 20 minutes with a 600grit abrasive and the frame would be ready for powder coat. If I'd have known Ali I'd have helped you out bud .

Low level rock crawling/scaling really. It's not as upto the job as the Axials and stuff but still plenty more than I'll need. Be sure to post your Scout when it comes dude, interested to see that!

Ha, they're not that great in person but if you'd like something painted I'd be more than happy. It's the cliche of being a painter for a living. Customers stuff I try my best, by the time I get to my own stuff I can't be bothered A friend of mine had a Maverick Strada drift setup, that was pretty badass. Was really reliable too, but the only downside was it's performance upgrades. It was cheaper to find a second hand MSP chassis or HPI sprint than upgrade the maverick, cheap enough to begin with thou so it's no great loss! I've done absolutely nothing with my trailfinder2, haven't had the time really. I keep looking into what setup to run in it, I've got the servo sorted but can't decide on ESC/motor combo.

Spent the whole week really pushing down on the pooch, he's more or less toilet trained now, knows his name and will come to you when shouted! What a little corker.. We've named him Ted

Sorry dude, I haven't had chance to get the wheels in the post. I'll get on it Monday.

There's no glory to be had, so I'd agree with you..

He's been home 2 hours, already wee'd outside, now fast on in his crate. I'm literally in love with him, he's so perfect!

Well this didn't come about, he was collie/lurcher and was huge. We were all set for our new arrival and had dog proofed the whole house! We were a little heart broken by this, so meet our new addition! 8 Week old KC Whippet Hes the best.

This is insane, plus they're f**king rad at it..

Got the hilux body painted this week, first laid a silver down, then over the top with Matt lime green, looks badass The silvers for me to scotch down too to create a metal effect so I can weather it properly, gonna add a fair amount of weathering to this body. Going to get my sticker guy to make me some 'Tom's Garden Services' stickers made up with some bullshit bush trimming pun. To go with the workhorse theme I thought I'd add some ply lining..

And girls let you in and around them like that?!

Going to possibly rehome a Whippet/collie cross

Danny knows the score.

I'm digging the trailer . Just to tow boats around for no apparent reason. It is an expensive kit, but my local shop owed me from a faulty ESC I returned ages ago so that knocked a chunk off.

RC4WD, they're yank. It's a real piece of art! Even if it just sat on the side all it's life it'd be a good model.

So the interested/don't need another but wanted anyway side of me impulsively bought this.. It's so detailed it's rediculous, it's on leaf springs and everything!

Zing. Clean her pipework out in the rusty trombone....

A bloke I used to work for had a bar, was cool as hell but took so much time to maintain and keep clean in the pipework.
