I've read it before, he does get very anal, but his gun finish is waaaaaaank. Good read though.

How do you mean spread the colour? Personally I'd just clean them thouroughly and get all the dirt and crud out (as lame as it sounds cotton bud are excellent for this). Grab some panel wipe too, it's just a solvent based degreaser to clean with, it won't harm your paint in anyway. Just lightly build the colour up on top of the bare metal, the solvent content in your touch up will slightly soften the surrounding area which will aid adhesion and your areas are that small they'll never really offer a problem. After that as I say just slowly build up till you've got a little bump made of lacquer that you can dress back and buff. The hardest part is your car's black, black shows everything but with a little time spent on it you should achieve a good result.

What colour is it JD? touching colours up is all about patience, too many people flood the chips then wonder why it looks shit. A touch up is basecoat then topped up with lacquer so your best bet is a touch up of colour then a touch up of lacquer separate. Dab the colour in over 2/3 small doses within the chip, then build with lacquer till you've got a very slight bump where the chip used to be. Flat that little bitch down with a sheet of 2000 then bring it back up with your desired cutting compound. It's how I do it and without sounding too far up my own tailpipe they're usually pretty invisible.

1.9 Tdi B5.5 passat, a million miles per gallon, fit 3 bikes with passengers in or on the roof. Epic reliability and comfort. I took mine to wales with the orange and slept along side my bike a piece of cake.

That's so set for easy adjustable setups!

Stop tagging each other with bullshit and appreciate this. Thats fantastic Luke, really really good. The chemo is unbearable to watch, my dad's lost loads of uses of his hands but he's getting by. Really really pleased for you mate, fantastic news.

Cheers, I'm desperate to get it back now, especially after selling the Passat a few months ago! To be honest there the same as most VAG stuff, mileage isn't really a problem providing there's history, no real rust issues or mechanical issues. My dads had 2, the first was a 61 plate we stuck 75k on that was faultless and the replacement is a 14 plate that's currently done 16k and again is faultless. It's defiantly a case of you get what you pay for though with them, there insane money for anything under 100k that's not SDI.

Caddy should be back from the bodyshop soon, so I set about painting my steelies.. Satin black inners.. Hopefully get it back early next week to get it lows, ply lined and carpeted then it's sticker time!

A mate if mine is big into the Jap scene of tiny slammed shoe box cars, Honda Jazz, daewoo matiz etc. He bought a 2004 Daihatsu Charade a few years ago, he does about 15k a year, its slammed on some 15x8 rims and it's absolutely faultless. It's cost him a pair of bottom arms due to running -4* camber but that's it! Cheapest run about ever.

I'd agree with Jarhead, swifts are cool little run abouts. Has she looed at Polos Matt?

I accidentally a whole Xbox one and Forza 6

Have you ever looked at restored prices? They go up year after year! They're so f**king sick, the sound quality is astonishing and being a 1961 model it has a full plywood cabinet rather than a blockboard construction. Much more solid and holds it's bass so well, first of many I hope!

I've just bought this.. Been waiting for the right one for months and here it is!

Caddys looking good... Should be sorted next week all being well

It's gutting to know people like that exist. Sucks man, any possibility of a reshell?

If it makes you feel any better Jenny's folks rescued a pure breed 'Staffie' (which was so far from a Staffordshire bull terrier it wasn't funny) that thing jumped a 5ft fence to royally f**k up a westie. Mauled the shit out of that thing. I agree with people that leave there dog to get on with it when it's off the lead, but thats not a Megacat vs Giantdog issue, that's just people being retarded. Ted never leaves our side unless it's play off the lead and even then he knows how far he can go and who to focus on. Mainly it's a fear thing thou, he's generally scared of everything.

It was fun this morning explaining to next door what they're f'ckin cat had done to Ted and I got 'but he's usually so nice'. Yeah, seems it. I could understand it if Ted was particularly nasty, or chased them around but he's literally the most placid dog ever, he's only barked once in 7 months!

I read as - Cats roam, shit in other peoples gardens (usually in my flower bed) and generally aggravate dogs/birds. I've nothing against cats, I just hate it when people have a cat then just leave it to it's own devices to shit in others garden or scratch shit up, it's the same principle as people that don't clean up after dogs, but at least the dog owners are just cnuts who don't. Cat owner have no idea what it's upto. As for the greasy comment I'd agree with you but it's certain breeds that seem prone. Jenny's folks have always had Staffordshire bull terriers and they do feel greasy to me, whereas Ted doesn't at all and nor does my folks Cairn terrier. Walking a dog is part if the enjoyment for me, I love taking Ted to the park and throwing a toy for him. It's all part if the enjoyment of him. Sometimes if it's raining etc it's abit tedious but when the suns out and he's off the lead running around it easily makes up for it.
-
Yeah he's insured, just a case of claiming it back later unfortunately.
-
We only ever had 1 cat when I was younger and it was a major thunder fanny. That thing put me off. Ted's shaved, cleaned out and stapled up so he's looking healthy again. My wallets not though .
-
Yeah we've washed it quite well with warm water, will go back over with cooled boiled water. Cheers! Stupid cat, this things horrid.
-
Next doors cat is such an evil fanny. Ted went out for his evening toilet movements, cat was sat on the fence, hissed at Ted then threw himself at him. I dunno what he caught him with either tooth or claw but Ted is pretty shaken by it. It's about an inch long and stretched quite wide where it is.
