Have you locked your mech out Ali? If so its not resting to far back, so theres not enoug chain rapping round the cog? Maybe worth a try? just undo the bolt and pop the elbow of the mech closer to the frame. Thing I learnt when i switched back to gears, buy EVERYthing from 1 brand, im runnin a shimano tiagra mech, deore shift, 8 speed hg-70 cassette, And it runs smooth as pie. Maybe try your local old man bike shop, see if hes got a 6 speed casette and shifter? Tom
