  1. Awesome year, 9.5/10. Good - Went to goodwood festival of speed, Built a really nice trail bike which I'm still enjoying, Epic road trip across France, Started to build houses for reptiles which has proven very successful, which has led to opening up other ventures. With said woodwork venture, I've been able to buy a lot of tooling an equipment which is awesome. Finally getting somewhere with the mini, Bad - Got laid off around May which sucked, back at work now thou, Haven't driven the mini at all this year!
  2. Jogging, I achieved this years of dropping to between 15st an 15st 5, so I'd like to get a load fitter an generally healthier. I'd like to pick up the trials bike again, but I struggle to make time for any of my other projects, let alone another.
  3. Maaasive bump, but just thought I'd add this here as we don't often see these stories come out in good news. Turns out you ask enough times an keep pushing for it, you will recieve... I'm properly stoked for darren, I know how hard he's worked for this, an how much time an work he's ploughed into this too so its brilliant to see its finally paid off. Nice one man, proud of you. Congrats on becoming a father too man, haven't seen you in ages an spotted the facebook update. Nice one buddy.
  4. It's snowing here now, its raining all the same too so I doubt it'll come to anything.
  5. Ha, love the names ed. Nice dragonet kris, I didn't realise you kept marine! Any coral in there??
  6. If your struggling for a top cap I'm sure I'll have one knocking around if you want one popping in the post? PM me your address an I'll get one in the post monday .
  7. Already ontop of that Dave, built a viv for terrapins (??) A week or so ago. Was water tight an proof, lol. Edit- Just noticed you said 'both'. I didn't see Adams post, give Adam first refusal on the build with him getting in there first.
  8. I'll happily build him one, feel free to pm me etc.

    Movember

Trimming the beard off for a moustache Saturday for Halloween party goodness, I'll post a picture an sign up then!
  10. Dunno if anybodys interested in me posting my builds, but I started this a few days ago, tort table/viv stack. Pretty chuffed with it up to yet. Need to dress the sides down an finish adjusting the joints (read - Fetch BFH an use) Then build the doors an varnish ready for it to go to its new home!
  11. I'm amazed there's not a topic about this already.. Dan Wheldon, at the minute the UK's best race driver died following an accident at the indy300 race yesterday. Tragic loss of a brilliant driver. Not exactly old either at 33. I watched him drive at goodwood this year an he seemed to be enjoying putting on a show with burn outs an huge dohnuts, even spoke to me about his car which was fantastic. Seemed a good sport an all round nice chap. Rip Dan an condolences to all affected through this tragedy.
  12. A few years ago I put some latex gloves under my normal riding gloves, worked preety well I though. Hands kept warm. Felt horrid to start with but soon got used to it.
  13. Ha, 26. Are they what you've bred or your own? I really wanted the trio of pancake torts that were for sale, but my missus doesn't like them, they freak her out abit, lol.
  14. You were on the balcony when I came in an I didn't spot you after that otherwise I would have . Think the last one was more hectic then the June show! My girlfriend came along too an she's now got a real liking for a few types of gecko, she's obsessed with cresties thou! Cheers mate:).
  15. Nothing major really, just wanted to get a bump in here, did I see your FBM tee at the doncaster show Ed? Built this today for a lady in Bedford. Challenge of making it tall enough to keep her 18 month old son away from the bulb, with a 2ft space between the tables for height adjustments on the bulb, but keeping the whole thing low down as the lady in question is only 5'2" has been interesting but simple enough. Pretty chuffed with it up to yet, another coat of lacquer for it all tomorrow an seal all the joints up with some water based sealer an it's ready to go. Tables are 4x4, both for a MVB bulb. Tables are really picking up now, it's getting abit too much at the minute! Especially when I get a one off instead of a set 4x2 or something. Next on the build sheet is a solid oak TV cabinet/tort table/mansion!!! The buyer couldn't decide on the best place for it an at the same time wants a new TV stand, so why not combine the two?? Ha. Looking foward to that one, tables a monster coming in at 6x2, with a foot wide 'balcony' type arrangement with a ramp up to it. Should be a fun build!!

    Movember

    I'm down for movember.
  17. http://youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=HzSr60MZWJc One good thing to come of these riots. This ^^
  18. I've just swapped to a set of slx cranks an I have no regrets (I say just, I've ridden about 50 miles on them upto yet). They feel awesome an incredibly stiff. I swapped after my old truvativ setup started to show their age an everything started to feel abit wobbly. If you go for it go for a set from crc, there about £100 at the minute which is a fair good price for them in my books. Don't forget a tool set for the hollowtech2 bb an preloader thou, there about £9 on crc also.
  19. Cheers man, yeah I've got adds on preloved, shelled warriors, rfuk an gumtree. I did have listings on ebay too, but the fees on there make it not such a viable way of selling them, well, with the profit I make on them. Generally I make them for something to do, an to try out ideas an stuff. I don't make a massive profit on them at all, just cover materials then its just money for stuff like nutrabol an bulbs etc to keep my torts sorted an kitted up. Got a few more ideas for tables to come yet. Fancy trying my hand at some creative vivs next, but I doubt I'll be able to make them anywhere near cheap enough to rival anybody like Vivexotic etc.
  20. The only reason I went 1x9 is down to the simplicity. I do fancy going with a 22/32 setup on the front at some point, but at the minute its working really well so I'll leave well alone. Cheers thou!
  21. Looks cool Ed, looks preety menacing... Dropped this off at a local house the other week, the tort tables are really picking up now! Starting to move into furniture manufacture too now an its getting busy. Need time to setup a proper workshop soon.
  22. Recently been tarting up the 456, replacing old an worn an generally just getting it riding nice. Spec: 456SummerSeason Frame,FSA pigDH headset, 'zocchi 2006 Allmountain 3's, fresh rebuild with new seals, FSA Gap stem, FSA Maximus bars (2" rise), SLX cranks, V8's, Middleburn 36t DH ring, Superstar Plasma chainguide, FSA team chain, Deore Cassette, SLX trigger shifter an SLX shadow mech, Avid Elixr5 brakes 185mm front an back, Hope XC front on Mavic D321 rim with sapim spokes, Rear pro2 on EX721 with sapim spokes, Conti vertical front, conti mountain-king rear, Bikehut post, OnOne Bignose stem, OnOne bolt up seatclamp. Only few things left are to swap the cassette for something less shit, the ratios are awful!! I'd like to swap for a shorter stem, It rides nice but it feels preety sluggish at the minute, kinda takes the fun out of it being a slack chucker frame. Other then that I'm really chuffed, it seems to work well on anything. Ride it to work an back everyday an then at the weekend I generally go to somewhere like Cannock Chase or Sherwood Ppines for a thrash around the routes and through the forest. Thanks for looking, Hope you like! Update - 6/8 Popped up to OnOne this morning, bought a 60mm stem, bignose seat an a proper sized seat clamp. The rides sooo much better, just been an chucked it round the red trail at pines an I'm amazed at how much nicer the shorter stem feels. It's so much more responsive an twitchy. Plus the new seats amazingly comfy which is always a bonus!
  23. Underbed/storage box. I use them when I take the torts anywhere. Clip on lamp an job done. Drill quite a few holes in the lid an job done.
  24. I was soo close to taking a pair of Burmese browns but couldn't bring myself to do it. Not yet anyway, I'd love some when I move out thou. Not suprised the viv got attention, it was very smart. I'm putting a demo tort table together at the minute to get some feedback from a LRS who display 2 of my tables already. I've got a few ideas for a viv too which I'd like to have a go at. Might even try a trade table at the next ihs if things carry on as promising as they have done.
