  1. I don't understand, you keep saying 'YOU DON'T HAVE TO BELIEVE MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP!!' Believe in what? I've made my mind up, mine says your a knob.
  2. We were supposed to be camping but its all fallen apart. Gonna head up for the Sunday thou. I'll keep my eyes pealed. Started to wash clean the passat ready for Vw fest, washed, polished an 2 coats of wax.
  3. Awesome Bucky, looks mint. Going to Vw fest at harewood??
  4. I don't even understand what some of these are implying??
  5. Enjoying the closing ceremony. Mod time!
  6. Yeah its the height that scuppers me, end up laid on there side. OnOne 456ss, its loadsa fun.
  7. It is possible to chuck em in the passat, but it means ducking about with the seats an taking wheels off. Plus the mech hanger on my missus's bike got bent while they were in the back last time. Roofs mega easy too, keeps the much out my car too.
  8. Went for 961 bars, 757 feet and a 591 carrier in the end, really chuffed with the setup. Took a while tinkering but its fantastic. Easy to use an solid as hell, barely any damage to the mpg either or wind noise, chuffed to bits.
  9. Few pictures from yesterday's stanceworks meet pinched from various Facebooks... Went down well, looks rediculously high in the front shot, damn parked on a hill Incur, there fantastic cars. Mines the 1.9tdi 105bhp and I love it. Personally I'd go for a remapped 1.9 over the 2.0tdis, there full of problems whereas the 1.9s are bullet proof. The dsg boxes arent too hot either from reviews, but I suppose you can't believe all you read. The 2.0tdi engines suffer from oil pump failure, injector failure and camshaft failure due to inferior materials... The 1.9s are a proven reliable motor and pretty basic really. I've been in a 1.9 remapped to 140 witha decat an good panel filter an it went really well, felt like such a good cruiser. Remapping mine has crossed my mind but I'm already at 155k so im gonna stick at standard. The load area is huge, the comforts out of this world and they look fantastic IMO. Really good cars, if there's anything specific you wanna know shout up.
  10. Good to see you yesterday Dan, did you see that a3 on 20" jag rims? Sickening.
  11. Team GB new world record in the team pursuit! Sick!!
  12. I wondered how long till I saw you Dave.
  13. Hic up in here. Mine was classic policy with 7000miles an was 300 a year on the end. Now its down with as little miles as possible an they know its dorm an kept behind a property an costs 150 to insure. Big plans soon! Booked in for some work at the end of September, but what its having is a secret....
  14. Alright guys, I'm in the market for a set of good roof bars an feet. I've had a look around an spoke to a few people who really recommend Thule. I already had a preety good idea Thule where the daddys but its always good to ask around first. Popped into halfords today to have a gander at some, seen a set of halfords own, all in £85 setup, was shocked when I picked up a set of Thule bars alone that weighed more then the halfords bars an feet! I'm swaying towards a set of aero bars, seem to get better reviews when it comes to wind noise an affecting mpg, plus they look a shit load better then just black bars. So yeah, Thule 861 bars an 757 feet, does anybody use these or have any experience with them? Or just any reviews on what you use personally would be good. What's drawing me to Thule other then reviews is the fact spares are available if anything gets damaged. There to fit to my passat with roof rails, an must be able to carry bikes/2 kayaks, an lock. Cheers chaps
  15. Not trials but just blazed about 20 road miles on my Xc bike with nobblies on. Not particularly fast or an epic distance but after a winter/summer of hardly riding the bike I'm pleased with it. Don't feel too broken either!
  16. That looks preety mean! Digging it.
  17. Wagon looks sparkly dan, nice one.
  18. Passat it up Craig, drop it an some new wheels. Mines about 110mm down on the front an 90mm on the back, still epic comfort an ride.
  19. Digging the black web adress in the middle. Really like it. Happy to chuck a few quid your way for a pair .
  20. Can she join now? It's soo nice.
  21. Is it still the same at a dvla office jardo? I put my plate on the mini at one an it hadn't been tax'd or mot'd. Was a few years ago thou so it might have changed..
  22. Ha, tiger tiger. Everyone I know who's been to Leeds has been to tiger tiger, never understood why thou, I thought it was shit.
  23. Passats seem to do best when your not trying. When I'm trying I get about 43mpg, giving it a lashing I can get about 55ish. Seems much happier at 75-80mph then at 70, seems abit laboured. Went a run in the camper last night with the missus, 18-20mpg up in heeeere.
  24. Shame it didn't rip that hideous bonnet off . Glad your alright thou man, wasa hell of a crash to walk away from. Props to the car an build. Did well to Manage that slide as well as that! It'll back, for sure.
