Around 650kgs is quite achievable with selective parts I think. I've done nothing with mine recently. Someone was supposed to collect it at the start of September to do some work on it for me but he didn't turn up till yesterday. Told him not to bother as its taken him this long to collect it I don't want the same story when I want it back...

So you want a BJ from tomturd?

I tried 1x9 without a guide for a few weeks before i got my guide and it wasn't too bad, had a few situations when it jumped off but it stuck it out quite well. Much more confidence in it now thou that I do have a guide.

Still not bought anything yet Danny?

I think if your under 200 they get abit too budget, but if you can afford to go around 4-500 not much come close in terms of spec, only thing we could find at the time for comparison was a rockhopper but neither of us were that impressed to be honest.

My missus has the 2010 model of this Rockrider 8.1 Its awesome to ride. I really like it. The only thing we've swapped around is the bar and stem combo as it wasn't comfortable for her which is fair enough with it being a mens bike. It's done everything my onone 456 has and given us no grief. If I was in the market for a new bike I wouldn't hesitate in buying a rockrider. Came specced up with sram x7 groupset, avid juicy5's, rocshox recons, 31.8 bar setup, deore crankset. My only gripe was it came with a non sealed bearing rear hub, but in time I think we'll pick a pro2 up for it. Came at a good price to for either £450 or £499, I can't remember, but included in that was a few free services at certain intervals which was cool.

Too many jobs to do so Combes a no plus its pissing it down here...

Get a genuine Vw kit. The old waterpumps have a plastic propeller that falls off wereas the newer kits have a metal propeller that doesn't suck. Loved my 6n2 polo, really awesome.

Think I am. I turned into a right lazy twat about 5/6 years ago and piled weight on (just over 21 stone), became lazy and really needed to just knuckle down. Realised what I had turned into and decided to change, left my girlfriend of the time, started cramming in over time at work and just getting back ontop of shit. Managed to loose just over 5 stone, got with a girl I'd liked for a long time (still with her) and turned stuff around. Much happier. At the minute I'm pretty happy where I'm heading too, might have taken a few odd paths but I'm getting there. My jobs good, my social lifes good, my relationship is awesome, future work prospects look good an looking to buy our first home soon!

Sm discounts literally the best thing ever. I haven't ridden in months but keep buying stuff from tartybikes as its just so hard to resist the discount!

I don't understand why you'd want a 500 thou apposed to a a3, my missus was dead set on a 500 then we went a test drive in a brand new 1.2 lounge an it was absolutely dreadful. Really really didn't like being in there, lots of road noise, didn't particularly handle bumps well an all the dealer wanted to show her was that city steering button, because in his words 'drivings easier with that for girls'. It's a nice car to look at, but there a lot of money for what your getting in terms of quality. I'm much happier she took her money an got a 3 year old mini...

Looks good dunc, what lacquer have you used?

No worries man, it's understandable. It was just nobody was jibbing at your friend or how it happened, just discussing prevention. Tragic loss an circumstances, thoughts go to his family an friends.

Cheers Paul, tamiya chassis is sat on my desk. I'd like to build it back up for racing at some point. I'll get back to it..

Mine arrived too, cheers guys!

Thread resurrected. I got bored a few weeks ago so decided to dig my old famous M03 out. Spec was M03 chassis, fully metal raced, full alloy arms top an lower with adapted adjustable shocks, peak 15x2 motor and Novak Electra esc. went like a rocket but never usually much fun unless you were at a track. So I took a trip to modelsport an bought a Schumacher mi1 chassis kit, ran it with all my old gear an replaced as I felt like it or broke. Now kitted with.. Speed passion F/B/R ESC, hpi 13.5t brushless motor running 15* advance, 36/86 pinion spur setup, futabu high speed servo (yonks old but still brilliant) Orion 4000mah nihm packs, hpi t-drift tyres on some eBay wheels, hpi Honda oddysey shell. Set up with.. -4* front/-2* rear camber 1*toe out front/2*toe in rear Stock caster, Locked rear diff an front one way diff. Slides brilliantly, so easy to slide an control. Only been into it 2 weeks or so but its so much fun. Lots more fun then just driving round a car park. Mate came with me to modelsport, never shown much interest in rc cars, came away spending 400 quid!

Personally, I just prefer the lazy sluggish power a diesel offers for a daily. Plus looking down at the dash computer reading 55mpg is always nice.

Eurgh, roof rack.

Sucks, my fancy goldfish I've had years died today. No idea why as she seemed healthy an my water parameters are still good. Hmm. Time for a brackish setup I think an some puffers.
-
I still find it incredible how you ride. Fantastic.

20ltrs is no where near big enough for a goldfish dude. Due to the amount of waste they produce you want 120+ ltrs to keep goldfish properly, the filters couldn't keep up with the waste in the amount of water. That'd be a good size for a small tropical tank thou, schoal of tetra, few shrimp etc.
