  1. Same with me. But yeah, it did suck, and I doubt many people will forget what they were doing when they heard.
  2. Wicked pictures there, I'm loving seeing local spots being ridden properly, just getting into the trials scene, where about in Bristol is there to ride? The main places I can think of are: Lloyds, the Traintracks (opposite of lloyds), Castle Park, The bit under the big roundabout, the stuff down by the river (in the pics) & The Centre, any other good spots around?
  3. My Attempt: Colour: Black & White: (Could do something else with the shading on pads, not too keen on it personally)
  4. Update... I've put rigids on the bike now, and a standard Mini rather than Mono, so now I have a really good front brake, bike is feeling really nice, longer stem next. I have a 60mm Kona Clump stem, I guess this would do to be getting along with, untill I can afford something good, like a Hope maybe. This is going to turn out good hopefully, and when I get more money, I will be able to afford new wheels, a Ti axle for cranks & maybe a frame.
  5. Yeah, I was going to ask.. Why do nearly all trials rider use rear rim brakes? Ive run a V-Brake for most of the year, and it was pretty good, but put a Mini back on in the week, and it is so much nicer, just a lot more feeling on stalls & things, and you don't have to worry about trueing wheels.
  6. Back wheel is an Atomlab GI Dirt (pretty damn heavy), front wheel is an Atomlab Aircorp, (pretty light in comparison). So it's atomlab hubs all-round. Well, I would love to go for a trials frame, but as I bought the DMR only a month ago, and I wont be able to sell it for much, I may aswell keep it for a bit longer, I'll think about those frames though mate, but not for a while. (Wanted the Curtis a while back, but quite pricey)
  7. Hello all. I signed up to this forum a while back, as I was planning on starting trials on my 24Seven V24, well I didn't, and about a month back, I bought a DMR Transition frame, last week I purchased some suspension forks for it after riding for months with rigids, I also put a front brake on for the first time in a year. So.. after a couple of days riding like this, I decided that trials was what I wanted to do. Ive just put some longer bars on the DMR (26" kona DH, to replace 23" EA50s), and had a 20 minute ride in my driveway, and it felt really nice to ride. Now I'm just after a bit of advice of what other parts I should change to make it more trials specific. It's not going to be pure trials, but a lot of trials influence in my riding I think, I will still be riding street, flatbanks & things, just want a nicer feel to the bike. I'm planning on getting a smaller sprocket on the front - 25t & running with my 14t sprocket on the back. Also debating going back to rigids (DMR Trailblades), but any other help & opinions would be great, thanks all.
  8. I'm riding street in Bristol today with a mate, all the usual spots i think, I guess I may see you all there! (I'll be on a rigid V24, mate will be on a Azonic Evolution)
  9. Just found this thread as i havent been on the forum for a while & ive been wanting to see the T24, and ive gotta say: i love it! I'm still hoping to get one, although 22" TT seems a little long as I'm currently running 21.75". Do you reckon it will hold up to park duties as well? Or would i have to go for a SX24?? Good work on that build, i'd go for singlepeed & (skinnier) different forks though.
  10. i suppose my bike is a big BMX- only got the 1 brake at the moment, thinknig of getting a front one, for trialsing, then again, ive always got my trials bike
  11. i would come along on my 24" street bike, i will be working till 6pm, but would come in if i was allowed, and the ride will still be going on at this time
  12. i probably met one of you today, by wetherspoons, i was fitting a pair of bars to a mates bike, i was with the white V24, there were 2 kids, one on a Base, the liddle one was on an Ashton
  13. im sure ive seen someone in bristol with 2 freewheels, the chain keeps spinning when you arent pedalling, looks pimp, i cant recall who it was, jimbo maybe? i havent really got a clue.
  14. nope, tried CRC, BikeDock, Wades, Wiggle, none of them have what i want
