Ha, I bumped into Nige when I went and he took me and my mate out for a couple of laps each, said he'd never had such a quiet passenger :$ Unsurprising he's so quick though, he's done about a million laps, he was marking them down as 5 bar gates on the bottom of his drivers window when I saw him and was running out of space I aught to start using Northloop abit more, I signed up and looked around abit but that was about it, feel like too much of an amateur to post anything :$

It's classed as a toll road, and it's an autobahn so you can go as fast as you like round it. It's not a race, when I was there I saw everything from 29euro rent-a-car's to Dodge Vipers lapping! There's been a few Driftworks trips there aswell from what I've seen you could go and drift round it at a snails pace if you really like as long as you're not a total bellend about it! And you worry much too much about having a welded diff, it's nowhere near as bad as you make out Also, incase you're not on Driftworks, someone posted one of your videos on there a couple of months back and it went down very well indeed

Ring dates mention nothing the 2 days before or the day after so I assume they'll be Touristfahrten. The days during the race will mainly just be an enormous piss up (ah Bitburger ), the place should be abosolutely buzzing!

I was planning on going anyway but we'd be going 11-17th May to see the 24hr race in the middle of it (13-16th) I'd really, really like to finish my Golf in time for that + it gives me an extra month and a half to gather funds. So on those grounds - sorry TF, I'm out. (Go with my idea, it's a much better one )

Oh no, that garage was unbelievable Having established the gearbox was full of holes, I took it there and within 10minutes they told me I need tracking, 2 new tyres, a bit of welding, and the gearbox was fine... Told them they were wrong and exactly what I wanted them to do and left them to it. 2 hours later all they'd managed to do was remove a driveshaft (the wrong way and completely f**ked it). 4 hours later they told me I'd need a new box, they'd find one (at obscene cost). Another 4 hours later I rang them to ask what was happening to be told they can't find a box and to get flights home. So me and my mate went and put it back together ourselves and took it back to the Ringhaus. They were more than a little surprised we knew exactly what we were doing and it only took us half an hour to do what took them 10! Useless bunch of 'tards!

To be fair, we didn't actually know we'd dropped oil until we got 50miles away and the gearbox started whining like a bitch! There was just a lot of smoke, didn't spot anything obviously wrong when we got back to the carpark either (how naive of us!) Will be infinitely more prepared next time we go now we know what to expect, we did kinda just go on a whim Oh also, ring top tip - should you need a garage to fix your car, steer well clear of W Blaser a few KM up the road. Worst garage ever.

I had no end of shit trying to cancel Live, the worst part being I'd bought one month on mine and my mates accounts and they were taking it every month from my bank for both accounts! I had to phone the same American voiced hotline to speak to ethnic woman, which was a real effort trying to understand each other... Got there in the end. I will never buy Live again. It's well known for being a tremendous ballache to cancel

I think that's probably why it costs so much to clear up oil in the first place... Just don't break down, and don't crash! Or if you do, don't let anyone see and get away quickly!

I've been! SO glad we weren't caught with a blown gearbox! We're looking to go again sometime around Easter as long as you don't drive round the track like a total ass, and know you have to indicate and pull over to the right (we didn't know this on the first lap) to let faster cars past then you can't go far wrong! Don't break down, get breakdown cover, don't tell them exactly where you're going as they probably won't cover you or want the earth for it. The trip will cost you well under £500 but you will want more laps than you think and they're around 30euro's a pop with deals - the more you buy at once the less they cost but budget for petrol relative to this. Stay at the Ringhaus, it probably isn't the cheapest or the nicest but Frank is probably the biggest legend I've ever met, guy is an absolute lifesaver and will go well out of his way to help you if you need it! + the Ringhaus is also the closest hotel to the main entrance. Can't recommend this place enough, tell him the story of the guy with the silver MK2 who blew his gearbox up and was a tremendous ballache to him, I'm sure he'll remember me... Don't break down. It is the most amazing place you'll ever go if you're a petrolhead And here's how the car got home... ...Don't break down.

Well I was starting to get bored of it and even the novelty of driving in it was wearing off, but now my mate (who is quite the cheeky drifter and has been banned for 2 years) has picked up a new car so the fun starts all over again

I stretched the piercing next to my 16mm tunnel to 8mm, then decided I didn't like it, it's shrunk back down to a regular 1.6 guage ring now, and it really didn't take long at all! Doubt it'd ever close completely though, I first had my ear pierced when I was 13, took it out til I was 18 and didn't have to re-pierce it to start stretching..

The first slices of bread, clearly! And similarly - breaking into a fresh tub of butter

I've tried Tomtom, Garmin, and now have a Medion. The Garmin was ok-ish until I got to France when it was pretty much useless, it knew where we were going but had no idea how to get there.. The Medion can't even do this country it's completely hopeless, if you go wrong/can't go down the road it wants you to, it won't calculate a new route it just tells you to U-turn for the next 100 or so miles until it loses signal and you switch it off and on again (and again and again until it finds some signal). Get a Tomtom, they're the only ones that actually work like you want them to.

This sounds potentially painful, will there be lube? Or at least a good amount of spit? -

It seems my ex's new bloke has f*cked her off, she is pissed off and upset about this (based on Facebook status' - we havn't spoken properly for a while now), this brought me much delight. I made a comment about her karma for her doing pretty much exactly what he's done, to me, it went down a treat... <img src="http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Twat twat twat twat twat twat. -

Pretending to be unable to operate a keyboard when pissed is so cool! Especially when you've logged onto a website and dug up a specific thread to demonstrate this Clearly not pissed enough, go back out and try harder!

Everyone round here started riding again, I tried, think I went out half a dozen times or so, just can't be arsed anymore especially while it's so bloody cold! It's a shame, I used to live for trials and as a result was actually quite healthy!
