  1. That's because 225mm = 8.86" B2 80, but if it's the one I think it is, just FWD /pedant
  2. They'll normally just stop your monthly payments, though some arsehole companies will charge you mental admin/cancellation fees which often cost more than what the remaining payments would total. Phone them and ask
  3. That's why then, nobody is going to chuck a £20,000 car around like you do with your <£2000 car... I've no doubt a Focus RS could out brake any normal 1.4 Civic, but the stakes are considerably higher if it doesn't work out! As I said, my £900 Golf out braked and out cornered a number of Porsches on the Nurburgring, but that's not because my car is more capable, or even that I'm a better driver, there was just a lot less at stake! In short, a Reliant Robin can outhandle an Astra VXR, if the VXR driver isn't giving it as much stick as the Reliant!
  4. But lets imagine for a second, that you paid £25,000 for it, would that alter the way you drive it? Basically, and not to be too harsh, don't kid yourself that it's the best handling car ever made, it's just the way you drive it paired with a lack of power
  5. Is it that it's dreamy, or that you give less of a f**k about binning it than an expensive car owner? I could say the same thing about my old MK2 out maneuvering Porsches on the 'ring, but that's because they actually care, I don't believe for a second that my ropey old Golf was better in any way
  6. I can't imagine anything N/A Vtec being quick, having seen a few on the rollers and they always make disappointing power, lots of noise, not much action
  7. There's lots of nice things for sale, but all being sold by dreamers with absolutely mental price tags on everything!
  8. Go home E36, you're drunk.
  9. That's about going rate Auto Trader is not the place to gauge the value of a car! Looks alright though
  10. Heart of gold, nice as pie, sweet as sugar boss, runs a failing company and doesn't pay his staff, and you feel bad for asking for what you're owed? Sounds like a dose of man up is required to me
  11. Put it in writing if you're too much of a girl to sort it out. The threat of legal action is usually enough However you want to do it sooner rather than later as there's a 3 month deadline to take these kinds of matters to employment tribunal, so you've got until the 21st of this month. Give letter, give him a week to pay it (detail this in the letter), take legal action. Also man up ffs!
  12. No more green Audi :'(
  13. I managed 40 seconds, anyone beat that?
  14. Only on race carbs, run of the mill Keihin/Mikuni carbs have the cable linked to the throttle linkage, which operates the throttle butterlies (which are housed in their individual throttle bodies, but they're not commonly referred to as ITBs despite the fact they technically are ), the slides are controlled by air pressure
  15. Something like 1-5 posts to view, 200 to post, start a thread in the bar asking why you can't use classifieds, people will love it and won't at all rip you to shreds
  16. Its 285bhp which whilst not being enough to spin the earth the opposite way, is tons of fun And better still, from a standstill I can boot it in every gear and never once even nearly lose traction And just because I know you love to split hairs, it's an 80, not a 90
  17. The only people who defend FWD cars are those who have never really used a proper R/4WD car to anywhere near it's full potential Bought quattro, never looked back There's no way I'd ever consider the kind of power I have now with FWD! As for "it's fine after 3rd gear" the first 3 gears is where the most fun is had!
  18. Do you ever read back what you type, Jardo? "my car IS an LCR, it's just in no way similar, but it DOES make more power now I've chucked a fortune at it!" Amuses me anyway, keep it up! That crash is kinda toilet but at least you're ok, hopefully you'll be compensated handsomely! And don't piss money into a 'rado, for the reasons you already said, get something with driven rear wheels, you won't regret it!
  19. Managed to get it to work by deleting all settings for our wireless and starting again, it will however do exactly the same thing as soon as I switch off or reset... And I have full signal at all times when it is connected, it's the most annoying thing
  20. Can't be arsed to find a computer forum, and I know there's lots of knowledgeable folk on here! So the problem is this - I have a Netgear router and an HP Pavilion laptop. It will only connect to the wireless if I'm literally sat next to the router, if I get more than 3 steps away then WLAN (my wireless) just disappears, kicks all other connected devices off the network and doesn't come back until I reset the router. It's a problem with the computer because all other devices connect and work fine (provided I don't try to connect), it did the same thing with the Netgear router at my old job too. Connects to other connections fine, and still recognises other networks in the area, just f**ks mine up... What's wrong?
  21. Those of us who have mentioned travelling have also mentioned that you have to work to be able to afford to do it...
  22. I would assume, based on the way you talk, you live either in the lowest rent place available or with your parents still? I don't think anyone regards money as life's ultimate prize, more the luxuries and lifestyle that money can buy you... More money = richer life than sat in your parents shed smoking the last scraps of the 8th you only bought a day ago.
  23. Do you live in a tent and get by on wild berries too?
  24. Some day "Part time cannabis tester for commercial grower - £50-100k p/a based on experience" will pop up at the Job Centre and you guys will be set for life!
