Hypothetical question then - you're moving to the other side of the world for a year, maybe 2, you have a car you don't want to get rid off that isn't as simple as "just buy another one" but its going to cost money to store and you have £1000s tied up in it... What do you do? Also, based on Jardo's buckets, I'm tempted to swap my Recaros for my equally sexy Sparcos from my old green Audi, hmmm
-
Btw, did I mention just the turbo upgrade on my car was >£1000, incase you weren't aware of the cost of things
-
I cant believe you have a tiger sofa and leopard pillows.
-
I've never bought anything as much of a waste of time as a clay bar, its only redeeming quality was that it made a pretty decent Blu Tac substitute.
-
It cuts the fuel I think, kinda wish it was adjustable really but nevermind!
-
Today I made some videos of the car - this one went as planned The following one, not so much... So I took some pics of the interior instead as theres a similar interior currently for sale giving everyone on S2Forum the horn

Yeah idle valve, ignore that then Skoda? eBay? Auto factor type place? halfords?
-
Sounds like a vacuum issue, look for anything obvious otherwise spray WD40 around any vac lines/hoses and listen for the engine bogging down That or ISV or equivalent.

But you don't want her home because you miss her as much as you're paranoid as shit and think she's being an idiot... Not good, man. -

Aside from the tour, which was kind of a comfort thing, the last 3 weeks we hadn't booked a single thing and only had a very rough idea where we wanted to go, it was great, easy, did loads of stuff and had a mint time! Next time we go anywhere it won't involve a tour! Also covering knees and shoulders is the norm and most places it matters in supply dressing gown type things, or a wrap thing will cost you about a quid. Chill out, accept that not everyone likes the same things you do (apply this to car thread too ) -

Me and the missus went to Thailand, we spent the first 3 weeks on a tour operated by a UK friend then 3 weeks doing our own thing which was brilliant - book whatever mode of transport is available to wherever we fancied on the day (be it 15 mins or 15 hours away) sort out somewhere to stay when we got there and just enjoyed. It is really, really easy to get around and find a place to stay. Can't quite get my head around what is not appealing about winging it compared to some kind of package/schedule/staying largely in the same place? You get to experience a culture doing it that way rather than just stay in resorts full of fat Western men with no respect and not enough clothes. -

As above, sounds a bit possessive paranoid psycho to me. Plus getting lost is all part of going travelling, not going to experience shit all if you just book everything and stick to a schedule! -
I hope you didn't get Vistaprint business cards, they make me die inside a bit! The more creative your business card, the more likely people are to keep hold of it and pay attention. Ours had flocked backs, which was hilarious at shows watching people wandering round rubbing them on their faces because they felt so nice

We had banner ads on a few forums with promo discounts associated with them, which over 2 years won us one customer worth £8 (after discount)
-
As above, Facebook is the clear winner, magazine ads in my experience net very little trade - even full page spreads (although it is free if you ask the right people the right way). The biggest thing I had as a business was a proper website, the day we took the website down the customers pretty much dried up with it, where before we'd be dealing with half a dozen enquiries a day! Ideally you want an enquiries form that comes straight to your email rather than just an address And be sure to be careful with the text content to get it high up on google, we were in the top 5 results for "Flocking" (and anything similar) in a very short space of time There are people on here who know much more about websites and getting hits than I do

I would avoid cheap FPRs, had bad experiences with them leaking, you gets what you pays for!

What makes you think its been stripped before? hot water, normal old washing powder and some hard scrub will have any cloth seats lookin new again. When I first got my MK2 Recaros they were so caked in shit they almost looked like leather in places... Looked mint after.

Yeah but Jardo doesn't have a hybrid, so they're shit. If he had one (or even came across one for decent money) they'd be the ultimate turbo and the best setup you can get. Keep up!

Boring stuff - Old rad small, new rad big, does much better coolings Old belt shredded (my fault entirely) new belt, belty Took pictures, pretty settings Nothing much to report, it all works as it should just showing it off really
-
Nearly all my cars have spat tiny specs of black (turbo and non) including my current car with a near new turbo on it (especially if I havent used it in a while), I wouldnt be too worried! In boring car news, did a full fluid service today - gold oil, blue brakes, green steering and pink coolant
-
Thanks for the essay, Jardo but the thing is, its whatever you've bought whether it be tyres, suspension or an air freshener, even if you've only had whatever it is for 1 day, that automatically makes EVERYTHING else in the world shit and a waste of time, even if the alternative is the best or second best thing on the market... Best bit is, most of your opinions are based on Prawns, but you dont see him ripping people apart for using components that suit their budget do you? Btw your whole car is a heap of shit because F1 cars are better. Rein it in a bit, pickle.
-
Only the thing you have is worth having and everything else is shit... For a change. Pipe down, Jardo, you don't half make yourself sound a willy all the time...

The (read any) job is not complete unless you have at the very least 6 nuts and/or bolts left over!
-
That was the intention It's predominantly full of bellends who think rare = big money! In reality its generally rare for a reason And the aforementioned twats in flat peaks with nothing to say unless they're gushing over a "big player"s car. So gay The Audi branch of the VAG scene on the other hand are only interested in bone stock OEM+ cars, which is about as dull
-
True, I've given away no end of stuff to friends I've met through forums, on the whole though its folk trying to sell turds for big money (I'm guilty of this too, always some clown willing to pay it )
