  1. It looks like your back wheels are towing in aswell, rather than camber?
  2. It looks shit and would take about 1 minute to put right.
  3. 10bhp from just a filter is utter bollocks
  4. I've had MK2s that needed a litre of oil for every tank of petrol, not had many cars that used none
  5. Just advance it until it starts pinking then back it off a bit, best way to do it for performance too
  6. Really? Because every other S/GTI/Sporty VAG model that rolled off the production line has been lower and/or stiffer than its base equivalent since the MK1 Golf... How is it possibly 150kg heavier than a 1.8T quattro (non-S), and yet still lower? ...Just sayin'.
  7. Cool, where are the "after" pics?
  8. Never went to a garage if I could avoid it, especially any big name ones £££... Surely you must be down on power to have the problems you have?
  9. have you set the ignition advance properly? My old golf responded very well to lots of advance Best way to find out if a lead is arcing is to touch it Youve not got the order of the leads mixed up or anything? If its backfiring in the inlet manifold its got to be ignition really...
  10. Except the sub 5mpg fuel economy..
  11. Wasn't me in Truro, I don't get out much I like K-Jet too, very little to go wrong, vacuum leak will mess up EVERYTHING, its very sensitive to mixture too which is also affected by the warm up regulator so it's worth having a look there... If it's backfiring though I'd be looking more at ignition timing or leads arcing and all other ignition bits...
  12. Is that 924 K-Jet? Not really read too much detail
  13. Boooo, good chance I flocked that anyway
  14. You get that dash off Cliosport?
  15. I'm always late, everyone around me has adjusted to this which suits me better
  16. Car forums, in particular ones with many youngsters, in particular E38.
  17. It's not really that straightforward there are other factors in torque steer, and as Clio boxes are on the left (as you sit in the car) it will pull right under hard acceleration - http://www.aa1car.com/library/torque_steer.htm It's just torque steer
  18. People who spell definitely with an A do my head in, or worse still people who let it auto correct to defiantly because they really are thick as f**k. That and people who use "fubar" as "foobar" as a replacement for the word f**k - fubar: f**ked up beyond all recognition. And on a similar note people who use twoc spelt wrong and not knowing what it means - taking without owners consent. Stop this, all of you. And you their/they're/there get wrongerers, just kill yourself.
  19. Have you checked your engine mounts by opening the bonnet, handbrake on, in gear then slowly let the clutch out and see if your engine is trying to climb out the bay? And I'm also going to put it out there on the matter of pulling to one side, it's torque steer and nothing more...
  20. Paisley Freight have a set price for big car bits, just tape and/or clingfilm big chunks of cardboard to the front and back and stick labels on, about £30-40 last time I did it
  21. I will be in touch, although I want it back as I leave it not with a V8 welded to the roof or anything
  22. Taking it with isn't really an option, and potentially have somewhere it could live but as said would cost considerably.
