  1. Got the job, and at £11.50p/h weekdays and £16 at weekends will be the highest paid job I've ever had (you don't get paid a lot when you live in as I have been doing..) I am absolutely buzzing, so happy
  2. Bits of smashed spark plug inside combustion chambers tend not to do engines many favours, even less if said plug bits make it further than that. There's about a dozen 20vt engines in any given scrapyard that would be a lot less f**king around and expense...
  3. 20vt presumably? Would you not be better just slinging any old 20v in for now? The engine's clearly f**ked so labour costs to strip it down seem a waste of time/money..?
  4. Jesus, Jardo, it's probably time to calm it down in the bedroom!
  5. Muuuuch better! Although laquer on dry paint again?
  6. Have I mentioned here before how much I hate living in hostels? Or how much I just hate other people in general? Because I do.
  7. Oh and I've got an interview lined up in a bike shop, which should have considerably fewer late nights and drunk people to deal with than I'm used to. Although I did also get my sale of alcohol licence for this state today just in case. Winning today!
  8. Fixed the mother bitching car! Been hard as shit to start and sounded like crap when it did, turns out a nut on the diesel pump was missing which knocked the timing out, which the ECU adapted to and f**ked everything up. I tried a dozen other things before getting to the bottom of it which means not only is it fixed, it's better than ever, power's up, fuel consumption's down. Such happy!
  9. My old cat used to meet me half way from the bus stop from school (a good 500m or so) and walk back with me. He also used to dribble a lot, he once dribbled into my mouth which was a delight. Used to sit and smoke with me too, great cat. Scabby old b*****d he was though, only had one eye, crooked back, bit of a bald patch, scabby ears because he was completely white and liked sun bathing too much, it was mouldy kidneys that got him in the end though, don't think I've ever been that upset
  10. What just goes back again? Also put it in the car thread like everyone else...
  11. Cats look after themselves, dogs don't, cats win!
  12. Too late, we'll hopefully never see the c*nt again
  13. The switched live for my headunit in the Audi was 3 pieces of thin shit wire trailed over to the ignition switch and mashed in...
  14. You think a house share will be better?
  15. Same with most pre-modified cars, bodge after bodge after bodge, the state of my Audi behind the dashboard was unreal, and the wiring in the boot was composed mostly of scotch locks.
  16. My bike requires next to zero maintenance, I occasionally ride to pubs in summer and work when the Mrs has the car in more recent times, otherwise I never ride bikes, I'm literally here to read about cars and find out which Tinder whore gets aids first.
  17. Work more? Get a better social life? Grow up and stop punching walls?
  18. The only thing I ever really use them grill things for is toasties same thing innit!
  19. I find that showing walls and things who's boss really helps. Have you ever seen that video of the kid who has his WoW subscription cancelled by his mum? Have you tried sticking a tv remote up your arse to ease your pain? Scream a little? Perhaps take up smoking and drinking, that's a good stress reliever.
  20. Driven nearly 5000miles in the last 3-4 weeks, car now has an increasingly worse rattle coming from the inlet area (suspect dicky injector/seal or pump), is less and less keen to start (needs glow plugs, a new set of boost hoses and a damn good clean out at the very least) but I'm dead pleased that we should be reaching our intended destination today all being well! Driving pretty well the entire continent in a figure of 8 and only needing a couple of minor repairs is amazing going for a 1992 Toyota that's probably never seen an MOT!
  21. Lots of sanding before primer, more layers of paint, apply laquer sooner.
  22. There's a noodle bar at Uluru called Ayres Wok, this pleases me more than it should
  23. Spending £4k on a Clio is madness, you could get something better and then you'd have a blank canvas to change the colour of the dustcaps and wiper length!
