  1. At some point in the last 2 days, eBay have decided to impose a holding period on any funds received from buyers. I have been trying to get an answer from them why they have done this for over 2 hours now...
  2. The missus and I are probably going to book a week-ish in Fiji in between leaving Oz and arriving in NZ
  3. I'm full of kangaroo and rum, nothing to whinge about here!

    Merry Christmas.

    You can still get f**ked
  5. It's Christmas, 27 degrees, slept with the balcony door open and the fan on last night and I'll be having BBQ'd kangaroo steak for Christmas dinner. It's all a bit odd
  6. My favourite is "would you take [massive chunk less] for cash?" To which they always receive a rather blunt "as opposed to what, vouchers?!" We get no end of people at work looking to buy a bike (being a bike shop n'all), not really interested what bike it is as long as they can get discount on it. Indians are by far the worst for it, they've seen any bike at all on sale, then want $100 knocking off the sale price before they even know anything about it, then want a size too big (because pride I guess, f**k knows), then bring it back a week later with the wheels folded in half because it's a $300 road bike and they've been hitting trails on it. I hate people.
  7. Similarly as a customer, just asking "what's your lowest price" no hello, please, signoff, nothing is not going to get you any sort of discount from me and they nearly always want something for nothing anyway. Gumtree attracts a LOT of idiots, sick to death of basically being a GoPro advice line (I'm obviously going to tell you the camera you're enquiring about is the best one to have regardless of which one it is) for them to turn around some hours and a dozen messages later saying they're going to think about it and then disappear.
  8. In case you haven't seen it - https://www.gofundme.com/55fm3jb6 He was going to sell the Road Bike Party bike to put towards £7k worth of walking kit/therapy but was encouraged to do this instead If you can spare a quid or two
  9. Has this got its own thread? It needs one if not!

I forget what forum I'm on sometimes, I opened this expecting to see a sporty Audi.
  11. I can't see Tinder anywhere on there? Mine is Lake McKenzie on Fraser Island, not this exact pic, one I took but all pics of it look the same anyway
  12. Nowhere near as sexy as the pictures he chooses, 4/10, would not bang.
  13. Yeah give em shit if they're clearly messing you around, just opening the dispute is usually enough for them to get their finger out without having to go through the whole week long process.
  14. Talking directly with head office leads directly to a bollocking from them via my manager, as I already said - my managers are my only line of contact. As for filling gaps by being less space efficient, my next shift I will dismantle some of the floor bikes to slot parts into the designated stands. Thanks as usual for your valuable input.
  15. I don't know what on earth is going on, they cut everyone's hours and wonder why less is getting done The workshop manager has fired off an email outlining exactly where the time is being spent and what they're getting in return, but it'll fall on deaf ears as it seems to every time at the minute. I can only communicate through my store managers, and head office aren't really interested in hearing anything they have to say at the minute. They see a 300% increase in workshop revenue (that I have performed at least 50% of), and sales targets being hit every week with ease, but gaps on the shop floor so the only thing to do is cut more hours to save money/increase profits accordingly, f**ked if I can work out the logic there!
  16. Been a bit of a hoo-ha at work between our store managers and head office, which has basically ended up with my (and anyone not salaried) hours being cut in half. Next week however the area manager has taken it on himself to swap the workshop manager with another store's and take me off the rota entirely replacing me with a bike builder from another store. The goal of this exercise is to prove that me and the workshop manager (the only 2 people at the minute able to work a spanner) don't build enough bikes. Now this would be fine BUT the reason I don't build many bikes is because I'm generally the designated mechanic with a stack of services to do on any given day, a salesman and a secretary with sod all hours in a week to do it all. They've given the other guy twice as many hours and a dedicated builder role so he's obviously going to get more bikes built than I ever can. Ultimately this will likely cost me my job. They set us store targets for workshop takings of around $1100p/w, the other store these guys are coming from, that we're being compared to, took $200 in labour costs the last couple of weeks, where we took nearly $1500, on top of my selling roughly that in bikes most days. Tl;dr? I work my f**king arse off doing everything and I'm about to lose my job because the only way I could be any more efficient would be to stick a brush up my arse and sweep as I go.
  17. Haha, I won't on principle now because I'm a stubborn motherf**ker
  18. PayPal issue sorted so I'm rich. Just moved into a new flat which although less glamorous we feel 100% more comfortable in, it also has a little balcony and our flatmates are even more antisocial than we are which is a massive win Aaaaannnd summer appears to have landed (for a few days at least). Bliss.
  19. Solid advice there, the twin Golf was largely a product of woman troubles and keeping my mind occupied with a lot of very late night sessions
  20. My bank address is the bank itself (on the other side of the country), my payslips have the address of a hostel I was staying at when I first started, my PayPal has my work address (which is why parcels go there too) the address they need is the work address, where I don't live. I move house today just to complicate things further In theory my passport should cover both issues, however I'm reliably informed by the mangers that collecting parcels without correct proof of address from this particular office is a colossal ballache. Up until now they've been just leaving parcels on the side, by the front door where customers grab helmets for test rides on their way out and not bothering to tell anyone, so $500 worth of camera can sit for 3 hours for anyone to pick up. I only started getting stuff sent to work because the last thing they attempted to deliver home went missing for 2 weeks... They're f**king useless!
