I bought some old Raceface Turbine LP's a few weeks ago, then a Filthy ard guard a few weeks later, asuming the rockring would just fit, but the spider on the cranks is much too big/rockring too small Do these cranks come in some sort a compact setup or what? How can the rockring be too small?! Forgive my daftness :$ Ta!

It's all about the oldskool, I don't doubt that new products are infinitely better, and the little tiny frames I've been seeing are just what I used to draw and design way back when... But now I'm the grandad, and I want the Worthers Original of bikes, I want what would have been the ultimate bike when I used to ride, and I've nearly finished building it, and better still the whole thing has cost less than £250 Even if the stuff is old it's still damn good quality I can't see many of the new generation wanting oldskool though as it doesn't have quite the same special appeal to it...

Why? It's the same principle fitting parts to any bike, regardless of its intended purpose! It's easy peasy to build bikes, things like cassettes require specialist tools, but most bike shops are decent enough to do little bits like that for free Otherwise all you'll need is some spanners, allen keys, and maybe a hammer

Trials bikes dont have suspension as they're a little weighty and would cock up the geometry of proper a trials bike and make the bottom bracket too high I only ever use one finger 'cause as above I like to have as many on the bars as possible, if your back brake isn't up to the job you should think about getting better pads, grinding the rim, using tar on the rim that kinda thing

Yeah I think they both had a couple of bikes 'cause they switch between disc and Magura loads throughout. Bit crap init, headshocks would make your bike even more ultimate! I've got Bi-King - the Giant I'm building is more a rep of Hawziee's bike in that incarnation Bi-King's a less bare basic educational, more technical riding with helpful hints, soundtrack is equally as good, of course I had to download every song off that aswell Ha, you make me feel so much better knowing I'm not the only loser on the planet obsessed with those bikes Have you seen the American video's of the same era, Revolution, Evolve + Contact? Oh yeah, definitely, they'd set targets on the weekends to sell a certain amount of bikes each, which I ALWAYS met or exceeded, I did overtime all day, every day, the guy was just a complete arse Think it's a little late to be complaining though, was 6-7 years ago

Woaaahh there Tonto! It's not that any religion is inferior to our primarily Christian society in the UK. The point I was trying to make is that other countries would not willingly acommodate foreigners in the same way we do, and it's peoples views such as yours that if we don't we'll get shot or bombed that's the root of the problem.

Love it! You're right on the P-bones too I want my Giant finished even more now, worse than that though, I want the ollld ATX round tubed one (tricks and stunts stylee) might just have to track down an old mate for that... You should get some headshocks for it rather than the Rock shox!

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it considering the spec and the budget I've done it on, cost me £2000 so far including buying it, and changing practically everything, even the engine
