Sometimes a quick push in the reverse direction frees up some bubbles. Just did a couple hs33/racing line brakes like this. Tons of extra bubbles came out when I reversed. I started doing this last year with disk brakes that use double syringe bleed kits too.

Everything looks sick except for potential ankle digging on the new XO crank. I ride with my feet hugging the crank sometimes.

I'm a noob again Went out on it again yesterday and I felt like I was closer to reaching full potential. So cool hopping on a real modern trials bike. Gaps like crazy. Sidehops are sick. Ups to front and hooks are great. Taps, not so much.

I've been watching old UCI Trials livestreams and drooling over modern trials bikes for the last week. Glascow 2022? This is Canadas trials park. It's amazing to have access to this pure trials paradise this winter. I was sore for 4 days after filming this haha!
-
it has a MTB interlude in the middle, but it's mostly old school trials!
-
I may have overdone the slowmo... sorry, the song seemed to call for it. This was a bit of an experiment.

I rode some pure trials in this one! It felt good, and it was difficult to do without too many hops and low tire pressure. Thanks @ben_travis It was scary! @Mark W I was totally harnessing the Ryan Leech 180 powers on that line! The first time I saw trials, it was him, and he did those right in front of me. The Manny 180s a great way out

I'm making the gigantic drive to the west coast, to potentially live there! I hope to keep filming stuff along the way. I'll keep posting the trials stuff here, but I'll be doing a lot of mountain bike videos too I hope you like this! The 180 tap 180 to front to hop over was hard to learn! Coming back off the same side was easy though... maybe on a real set-up soon?

This isn’t really trials, but it’s what I got up to this summer. I’ve been busy doing shows, tired, sick, and injured over the last 3 months. Honestly, I can’t wait to be done the circus shows so I can ride for fun again! I tore my meniscus too so my bits in this are quite cautious. The 2 guys I am doing shows with are gnarly bmxers so we did some skatepark riding in the evenings after work! This is what came of it.

Looks really fun! I had the same issue with bb7s. Had to move to hydraulic brakes.

First section is great! This was where I heard At the Drive-in... And the last section starting at 8 minutes.
-
So yeah, I'm doing 19 shows per week now with a circus in Toronto, and I have little energy to ride outside of work! I won't be releasing videos as often for the next couple months, but I have a concept in mind for the next one... Also, this is a mash of stuff with no real theme. Again also, this song may have been used before??? Not sure. If it has, oops. I love to ride to it.

Well, Carthy just did a 185cm / 6ft hook in bentonville…

Do you still need to wear spandex with skirt-like shorts? In all seriousness I am curious how the sport has progressed. I heard Kenny Belaey say in a podcast that it is like power-lifting now. That you can't do well without training with weights. Technical ability is massive, but without the power the sections are just impossible.
-
I'm curious, what is a rider looking at if they want to make a final in the World Cup these days? Obviously loads of technical skill, but what're the power numbers? Back in the day (2008)... it was around a 52" side hop, 56" tap, 63" hook, and a 9ft flat static gap to rear. So, what do you need for side-hop, rolling ups, hooks, and level static gaps now?

Sun Stoked. The sun is good for obvious reasons, but... my favourite natural spots are all full of sunbathers haha!

This is a really interesting topic! The most popular period of trials I’ve experienced in Canada is mid 2000s. I was involved in demos, competitions, and group rides of 20 riders. Now, I’m the only active rider within a couple hundred km (that I know of). As for the Danny hate/love/jealousy, I’ve been on all sides haha! In 2009 I was so “pure” that I said something like “it’s crappy bmx and crappy trials.” Then I got heavily into BMX for a few years and started to open my mind on what’s possible on a bike. I became a little jealous of his exposure and thought “I could do that!” Turns out front flipping off buildings isn’t only difficult, it’s terribly scary! Now I’m just plain happy for anyone who makes it. I love Danny’s riding, and I love anyone who puts their own flare on riding/video making. Ali found his niche with his vlogs being more technical/educational. Fabio is just crazy with his stunts. Charlie is mind blowingly fluid and fast! Shindiggers have a fun, friendly, group ride feeling to their vids. Everyone is coming into their own, and it feels like the Danny copying is coming to an end? Except for me when I’m not filming of course haha! I bet we all copy each other! Moral of the story, go have fun on yer bikes And we are the ones responsible for making trials big or small now. It can be whatever we want it to be.

Oh man I really do, but I have a working bmx bike already (haro lineage) and I don’t ride it as much as I’d like. Can’t justify updating it quite yet!
-
I always wanted a Loosefer! I watched this one before rides for years.

Lets Get Mystical by Mutiny Bikes? Didn't know they used it! Yeah, BMX here is rad, and so is that song. Dead Meadow has been a favourite band for 10 years. I try not to repeat the use of songs, but it's hard to avoid. And rip Randy Taylor. He inspired me to wear skinny jeans and v necks and do hang fives.

I tried to make a vlog but I couldn't stop myself from adding music and editing it...
