  1. Erm, not sure, we did weird runs the only time I've been - you can probably pull a time (ish) from that video? Edit: Looks like high 26 / low 27s for a lap, I think. I don't know if that's good or not, looks slow on the vid haha.
  2. Racing driver excuse #5483: Track too tight for your car
  3. At least I can call you a douche in real life if you come along Do it properly 1. Dann2707 2. Tarty Adam 3. Pashley26 4. 5.
  4. To add to what I put above... Curborough is suitable for ANY car. I'll probably bring my daily driver to be honest! Here's a couple of vids to give you the idea of the venue and layout: It's just a little sprint track.
  5. To add - this is still a work in progress! I think the hire cost for the day is £600ish, but I will make some enquiries... 1. Dann2707 2. Tarty Adam 3. 4. 5.
  6. Pre: Fluid levels, make sure you have enough tyre tread to last the day. After: Check your brake pads aren't totally gone (they won't be at Curborough). Modern oils will be fine for a couple of track days and few thousand road miles. You don't need anything 'suited', just get your ass along dude Cool - if anyone interested can put their name down and I'll give Curborough a shout, see what weekends they have free in Feb and March?
  7. Good shout about Curborough actually - cheap, midlands, think it's about £600 a day to hire so could possibly hire the whole thing out for 10 of us... Not a proper track but the costs are much better and it's easier on the car.
  8. Guess we want somewhere cheap, and midland-ish, at a weekend, and in winter so it's wet and fun and cheap
  9. You can drive anything you want as long as it's safe and has closed wheels. TF track day would be good
  10. Proper track day or session at a car show? If it is a car show session, don't let it put you off proper track days is all I'll say!
  11. That was sweet looks mega fun. Cars are so much fun on road tyres, haha. Have you ever had a go at left foot braking? That sort of event seems to have a lot of transitions between throttle and brake which is where you can really make some gains if you can keep one foot over each pedal.
  12. Pretty sure it's a sealed cartridge. My point was that I don't think a tiny amount of wheel bearing play would make the car drive like you say it does...
  13. Hmm, some front wheel bearings are deliberately set up to have a small amount of play (oldskool open taper needle bearing) and it doesn't have that effect on the car...
  14. As much as I hate the word swop - and clearly swap is the 'correct' spelling - Collins say otherwise: http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/swop
  15. Hmm. I'm in the texted camp. Textes sounds like testes = balls.
  16. "I text Jardo's mum" is surely a present tense. What version should be used for past tense? Texes or textes is clearly wrong, but I'm sure texted is valid...
  17. Well that is true, but it doesn't mean steel frames are cheaper to produce than alloy frames. That's too wide of a generalisation.
  18. If you could supply more details, I might be able to look into it for you. Such as - how exactly you sent the request, which email address you inputted for us to contact you back at, etc. Thanks. Edit: I've found an email from you from Friday (the one just gone, and we're closed at weekends), is that it?
