  1. Yeah race tracks generally are, the tarmac gets polished up over the years. Those were the same conditions as the first lap in the video too, you have to be pretty 'accurate' with your inputs to stop the car getting lairy!
  2. Lasted well over 6 months I think, carbon tube split due to my fail in how I cut it.
  3. That would be a cracking 'fun' daily. Mate has a 330d without a map and it will waft you along at a highly reasonable pace in a very lazy way, can only imagine the torque from a mapped 335! Track day went well... got some instruction from a chap who raced F1 in the 70s (Mike Wilds) and is currently in his 50th year of paid racing! He was very complimentary about how well the car was set up and even about my driving. Got some good tips too about how to improve too, which luckily were easy enough to be able to act upon straight away - a noticeable difference immediately. The home made anti roll bars I mentioned a while back are in their 4th or 5th iteration now and to have a comment like that from someone who definitely knows their onions were very positive! Track was a classic December Oulton Park ice rink in the morning then it ended up nearly dry last thing, great fun and nice to have a full range of conditions to keep things interesting Just checked the datalogger and just after lunch while it was just about drying a bit ish, lap times were only 2s down on last time I was there in the bone dry, chuffed!
  4. Tarty video, or new Trialtech tool: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/topic/155894-new-from-trialtech/?p=2618286 Love it when bike shops break chain whips trying to remove sprockets, you can tell them as many times as you like that it won't work but they keep trying!

Classic 'don't show this to anyone yet Adam', 'Ok, no problem' - gets posted online shortly afterwards...
  7. Haha, hopefully... Forecast is getting worse by the hour, bring it on
  8. I'll do my best not to find the armco again... cheers!
  9. I've been out on track in the snow before... It's relatively fine to be honest, but you get chilly fingers Top karting tip: latex gloves underneath your normal gloves!
  10. Oulton Park tomorrow With no roof or windscreen. Hmm. Looks like the motorbike onesie will be making an appearance.

How much is Jens rumoured to be on?
  12. Is how long you'll own your next car before getting bored of it?
  13. Explains why you seem to have so many 'issues'
  14. As Mark says, here it is / they are (the washer(s)):
  15. Yeah I reckon you'll just need a blob and film
  16. Cheapest kit I could find on eBay, about half the way through the screen and the size of a small fingernail (massive chunk). It'll work a treat on something that size, you do need IR light or sunshine to cure the resin though...
  17. Haha. Well it made me laugh in the end anyway!
  18. Classic autocorrect there... Haha. Unless Appalachia is a real thing and you didn't mean alopecia, of course!
  19. What's the difference? They still look the same
  20. He gets REALLY into it...
  21. Brands is shit for track days full stop, too many rich twats and too few overtaking opportunities.
