How did they break exactly?
-
A few strips of duct tape will do it, we hold cars together with that shit when it goes tits up on race weekends... All you need to do is stop air getting under the front and it won't go anywhere.

TartyBikes Open Trial - Shipley Glen, 14th September
AdamR28 replied to AdamR28's topic in Trials Chat
The pic shows everything - 5 of each colour of gate. Hope that makes sense (the vid in the post directly above yours might help a bit too). I know what you mean there, but by not *having* to ride a certain colour and easy red gates probably being about the same as hard blue gates, you do get the chance to try some, and by the end of the comp everyone finds their own level (in theory!). The scores should work out with the best riders (those who have cleared the highest number of harder gates) at the top of the score sheet, too. That in itself does create an issue though, it's very hard to classify riders, other than by wheel size and / or age. We considered letting people ride as they want but we strongly feel that BIU makes trials look a bit shit. On the flip side, it's tricky for kiddies to ride UCI so you have to let them use pedals and bashes. -
Items purchased in the Far East are priced in USD, so everything Monty now buy is costing them ~20% more than it did a year ago.

Haha, sorry Yeah man more than welcome, happy to tweak that front tracking if you want as well.
-
Sensationalist much. Don't see any reason for it to be unsafe, have happily driven cars on (proper) tracks with the same setup before. Edit: Just realised it only fits on one of the headrest uprights - would prefer it to be contacting both so there's no way it can 'pivot' and head towards your neck, but it'll be reet for Curby, you won't crash! Dan - your post with the photos was interesting until the bit where you said you cleaned a lens or something

Coming to steal you car tonight
-
I could bring them but unfortunately without a calibrated or known flat floor and some platforms to roll on and off they would be next to useless Man I wish I was 60kg, haha! 2deg is a good fast road setting, good call there. What was the toe set at? I've found a tiny bit of toe out works really well on a 1*2.
-
Its not miles out Dan, the theory is very simple though, anyone willing to spend £750 on a set of scales (those are the same ones I nearly bought) should learn how to use them (a few minutes on Google). There are quite a lot of procedures you need to follow to get a good result too. Needs more weight on rear left and front right ideally, not sure how feasible it is in practice with a rear beam though. Which model is your car exactly? How much did you weigh in at? How did the geo go?
-
Looks fine to me. Its only a sheddy old Golf after all
-
Haha. Pretty much, I am 2kg heavier than last year But still got 4kg of ballast in.
-
Setup: win (weight limit is 960). New scales: win. Happy to offer corner weighting to anyone on here at mates rates

This. Although the main thing that makes it possible with the Pro2 is the serrations.

Sack the snail cams off, don't need em with a Pro2

Tartybikes Website Update (Latest 29th Nov 2013)
AdamR28 replied to AdamR28's topic in Website Updates
I actually have a long sleeve one I use almost exclusively for XC riding and love it. They wash well and I never have any issues with being cold, all I wear in any conditions is a set of bib shorts, compression top, shorts, t-shirt and gloves. I am generally a 'warm' person though. The circulation benefits are fairly well documented I believe, could be worth a try - obviously don't try and squeeze yourself into a small though, haha. Skinz do a similar item which I'm sure the 'big boys' will carry. -
You car is not dirty!
-
Wicked. So you're off to Barbados next week then Cheers for the help with this!
-
What's the latest list then Lukey baby? Basically my plan of being a floater is still there, to ensure we end up with an even number of drivers so to make the groups the same size Unless there are less than 10 people in which case I'll jump in to keep the per-person cost down...
-
The frames do vary, as do the parts. This may help:
-
Yep - 31 here and no plans to hang up the trials bike any time soon The bikes mostly have no seats nowadays so you look a fool whatever age you are
-
Haha. Pump, bracket, pipework, belt, reservoir....
-
Yeah, I used non PAS (de-powered manual rack) on a road car for a year or so, it is noticeable but doesn't cause any issues
-
A load more expensive than MX-5s, you mean? My PAS to manual conversion cost nothing and saved 29kg
-
Pinch gap = jump harder, pedal less. Midair tuck = jump upwards, rather than forwards.
