  1. Make a huge difference in an MX5.
  2. Highlights vid from this weekend...
  3. Why can't you be in both?
  4. Dry sump belt on my kit car does that against a chassis rail on hard right-handers. It's reet.
  5. I think I agree that it's a good shout to 'get on the ladder' asap, but if you're hovering between, say, a 22% deposit and trying to squeeze to 25%, you'll get a much better mortgage at 25%, that was my point
  6. Misunderstanding - my post was aimed at Ian's situation...
  7. Yeah, 25% is a good amount to aim for if you can, its a 'trigger point' for better interest rate.
  8. I'd also heard that and also had the same theory about the descent rate. 4500ft/min is probably a 'this is going totally tits up' value, meaning people could get into the cockpit if the pilot(s) were in trouble. If it's less than that the override stays in place and the guy stays in the cockpit by himself... I'll ask my mate next time I see him.
  9. I thought that was precisely the reason it was developed? Might be wrong though! Edit: Sadly I am wrong - that would have been a good story! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanoacrylate
  10. I'm sure the Ali C Which Disc Brake Am I Going To Use This Week Gameshow will still continue
  11. All sorted, be back with you tomorrow
  12. The recent reasonably significant increase in temperature would help, especially if doing a few short trips, but I guess you're still on motorway mileage?
  13. Likely to be one M6/M8 and the other M8/M8, but you should check.
  14. Yes, providing you have M6/M8 slaves and use a shroud nut / olive between the splitter and slave.
  15. Yes. It's f**ked though, get a new one, lol.
  16. Got some cranks in front of me and a Rockman freewheel (same thing). Silly question, but... Is the bashring fitted the right way round? You mentioned it needing 2-3mm more clearance to the outer of the freewheel, the step that's meant to sit against the crank arm to prevent the bashring rotating is 2.5mm, the lip on the other side to give clearance to the outer of the freewheel is 1mm. Unless you mean radial clearance rather than lateral clearance? In this case I can see how it could be very very close (see attached photo) - if you want to post us your right hand crank / axle / freewheel / bashring we can machine the bash to clear. No charge of course, and quicker than receiving parts from Hong Kong. Just let me know
  17. Good call, I need to try that, cheers! Totted up tonight's tea, ~1300 calories, oops.
  18. We thought it would be a standard thing people know to check on installation as its not a crank specific issue, it would happen with any cranks, apologies. The back of the bash will wear away to create clearance (had the same myself in the past) but its not the ideal solution. Will have a look at some bits in the morning
  19. M6 barbed fittings. Should be on the product description, if not my apologies, let me know and I'll add it!
  20. Trialtech. Easiest to fit, most durable. In theory it shouldn't even out the slaves, but for some reason in practice most people have found an improvement.
  21. Jesus, wish I struggled to eat, can easily put away 1200 or more in one relatively healthy meal!
  22. Looks the same to me?!
  23. Just got back from an 18 mile / 2000ft climbing MTB ride which started and finished on my doorstep, now eating some f**king tasty home made sweet chilli chicken and salad wholemeal wraps, then got 2 hours of tennis this afternoon. And its sunny so I'll probably take the dog put for a drive with the roof off later. Good way to spend my last free day until May! Just need Liverpool to spank ManUre now...
