  1. The Munter's going to have stiff opposition at TFTD2...
  2. Haha. Google image search for 'ugly black woman', naturally...
  3. Could be both black AND red?
  4. It's red underneath! And has red tow straps
  5. Sounded like it was pretty close? Still, the Ironing Board Transportation Device would spank you round a track I reckon? Speaking of spanking, the Red Munter appears to be quicker than an RS5 and a C63 AMG, both driven by Tiff Needell, haha: http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/cadwell_park_full_circuit.html
  6. About 2 seconds at Cadwell for a light one, nudging 3 for a real sized one, but I'd guess about half that for your car given the weight / power Haha, good stuff, truly communal track car then! The Munter will be always passengered up I think, apart from one session each day chasing a good lap...
  7. I've had good success with Brentacre. Red Munter news: Slicks are awesome. Car is awesome. Only got 2 clear laps all day without a passenger, which are in the video below. Both of the laps have mistakes but both are mid 1:45s. The fastest ever Mk1 race car lap I can find round Cadwell is 1:45.4, and will have been with a tow. I'll call that mission accomplished
  8. All good, that's what the warranty is for
  9. I meant specifics Which you did provide. All 4-bolt forks (especially 26") will break unless they are over a few hundred quid, over a kilo or designed really well, it's just the way it is unfortunately. You just have to work out which ones will last the longest for your budget, or get a front disc. Send em back, get em warrantied, get advice from seller about what to get next - job done
  10. Often it's part selection that causes issues unfortunately... What exactly have you broken, where, and how?
  11. Scared of being whupped by a car with a quarter of the bhp I reckon Nah, seriously, that's a shame - I know what it's like...
  12. Now that would be interesting, getting a dog to set a lap time
  13. Oops, my PMs are turned off again, sorry... fire me an email if you want me to transfer to you, otherwise I'll bring cash on the day. Thanks again for your help!
  14. Haha, no its not me! You can get a fully working car in decent nick for under a grand, chuck decent oil in it, change the brake fluid and take it on track. It will run all day like that and be amazing fun. Genuinely don't need to spend anything on it, the one I took to Curborough was completely standard! Bits like a roll bar and suspension aren't a bad shout if it will go on track fairly regularly though. I actually have a roll bar for sale and possibly some shocks soon, lol. That one could be OK or could be a basket case depending on rust, don't mind taking a look if its not too far away (PR3 isn't really Preston IIRC). Have an exhaust and some door cards going spare if needed
  15. Old cars for the winnage. Short vid, didn't really expect this...
  16. I was going to say it sounds like just enough to completely turn the inside tyre into blue smoke, Dannnnn had a good go at Curborough with ~170bhp, 280 must destroy tyres
  17. That would be awesome, thank you More than welcome to have a blast round in my car, and we'll sort you some lunch, of course!
  18. In theory no, the slots should only cater for chain stretch, but given that most frames with slotted tabs are, erm, not very well thought out, you might be able to do that!
  19. Date confirmed I'm easy for food - something during the day would be pretty cool, communal BBQ type thing, providing we get the weather... Worse case there's that little shelter by the hut, or the bus shelter thing at the start line, or I'll bring a gazebo.
  20. Strictly speaking it's 1.5mm too high, but yep, on any IS mount frame a front adaptor will work on the rear with a 20mm smaller rotor.
