  1. UV dye, have a look on eBay for a kit.
  2. I guess that means there is an optimal distance to follow at too? Affected by a large numbers of factors, granted...
  3. ^^ True. The 'failsafe' is to buy heavier parts, since in most cases that will increase strength / durability even if the design / testing isn't as advanced as MTB stuff (quite rightly due to budget / order quantities, as you said).

Have you tried a Hope Trials Brake? Given that they are, er, for trials, they seem to work well, er, for trials! The video was good, obviously...
  5. The cricket score. Wow. Haha.
  6. I'm sure it can. Only instantaneously though, like your car
  7. Then I better not whinge when I break it
  8. That could well be the case. Which kinda proves my point...
  9. Lightweight cranks in "broken when ridden hard" shocker. This is the point I keep trying to make, riders need to choose products that suit their riding rather than buying the fanciest looking or lightest. This is the only way we'll end up with a reliable choice of components, because manufacturers will only keep making the light stuff if that's all that sells.
  10. Glad you enjoyed it! As you said, things like that will come with more time in the car. It takes ages to get fully comfortable with it. Seeing as though a Mk1 MX5 race car is a good 'barometer' for lap time (hey George ), they lap Knockhill around 1:05 with about 130-135bhp on cheap road tyres. Lap record for us is a mid 1:03.
  11. A familiar story... people are idiots...
  12. ... Apart from having to drive a 1.4 diesel Fiesta.
  13. Something light with 11,750 revs available 4 wheels though, of course! It's a good base but needs work...
  14. Bit of a long shot, but just in case anyone is interested... http://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic/115346-well-developed-flexible-reliable-and-fast-c20xe-seiw-for-sale-%C2%A313k/
  15. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1633409/Historic-inflation-calculator-value-money-changed-1900.html So an ET24 would be about £425 in today's money. I think that makes the Inspired look fecking cheap!
  16. Didn't know you could do that - cheers.
  17. Paedo! Yeah, WiFi enabled is just for the remote or mobile / tablet app to control the camera with.
  18. Unfortunately you will need the owner's WiFi password to use the WiFi functionality of the camera, and even then the camera can't upload / backup to the web from this The only thing I could think of would be to walk up and down the beach asking if anyone has left a GoPro - the way to tell it's theirs is that they will be able to connect to it from their phone / tablet and control it.
  19. That is f**king random
  20. I think a poor / old / corroded crimp / connection will increase resistance which reduces data transfer rate? I'm not sure, but that's my guesstimation... And no probs, just fire us an email at work, PMs are turned off
  21. Defo worth a shot! Have a tool and some spare ends here if you want them posting down...
  22. Plan. Weird, never heard of that before...
  23. Custom forge tooling for head tube vs turned bit of ally tube. Custom forge tooling for BB yoke vs no BB yoke. Custom forge tooling for dropouts vs off the shelf dropouts. Custom tooling to bend the chain and seat stays vs Unsure, but unlikely to go to anything like the level of detail Inspired do. Butted tubing vs plain tubing. Multiple process finishing method (the red frame is actually prepped and sprayed in gold, then has red lacquer added, then the graphics, then clear lacquer) vs basic black paint. The Inspired frame probably costs double (or more) to produce when you factor in a 'cost per item' on the tooling... Oh, and what JD said.
