  1. Off to Elvaston right now if you fancy/can make it Jon... maybe cya there? Have got my phone :- Won't be on either of the night rides though, sorry. Ads
  2. :) Its an editing dream! (with a good choice of song) Anyway... :) :) The riding is stupid, and the vid is definitely more watchable than your others! :) Top stuff Mr Neil :- Good luck with the ankle :)
  3. Yeah - sorry... thought it might be best, in order to save Si a little bit...
  4. I'll try and get one measured up for you today Mark :) Dunno why the info isnt on our site :- Sorry bout that!
  5. Try again... :wink2: Cheers Si!
  6. Yeah, its strange, I definitely found the same moves easier than i did on my standard T-Rex, and I also pulled a couple of new lines, so - I'm very impressed! I didn't like it much from the few street rides i'd been on, but was holding out for the rocks before making more judgement... anyone wanna buy a T-Rex frame? haha Cheers for the comments guys! :wink2:
  7. First up - many people measure their stems 'incorrectly'. We'll be adding a measuring/dimensions guide when the new website is released. The reach is measured horizontally (in relation to the steerer clamp), so, 145mm is actually a decent size. The 40 degree rise is designed around 'flat' trials bars, so that is also relatively standard. Might be worth measuring up your old stem for a comparison :wink2: If you need any more help, don't hesitate to get in touch. Adam
  8. Thanks :P Will change that now.
  9. Thats cos theyre Super Tacky! :) Raleigh suck :P
  10. Just a chilled video from a ride at Elvaston Castle Country Park on Sunday... probably quite boring if youre a street-lover :P Length: 7:03 mins File Size: 66.1 Mb Riding from: Adam Read (TartyBikes/Onza Proto Frame), Dave Cleaver (Onza T-Rex), Ben Lee (Echo Control), with a couple of clips of Jamie and Tony Croft (and the voice of Sharn Mahmood at the start). Music: Foo Fighters - Times Like These (live acoustic) Incubus - Make Yourself (live acoustic) Most of it is filmed with a Fish-Eye and tripod, cos we just wanted to ride, rather than having to worry about holding the camera etc... Editing is very simple. The vid is from 2 of 3 locations at this place... the 3rd location (not in this vid) is LOADS better than these two, and we spent more than half the time riding it (tape ran out!). Will hopefully make a vid from there soon :) Thanks to Si @ Trials Shack for the hosting! Scroll down the news to find it :P Cheers, Adam

    Cad Zoo

And theyre pretty much impossible to replicate in a CAD package (too much human error involved during manufacture). Obvious high stress areas could be calculated, i guess. But, then again, they shouldnt be there in the first place! Also, what loads are there on a frame? So complex!
  12. Yup, but I think spacing (along the line of the axle, from rotor to disc mount) would be different to ISO standard... not a problem wit ha custom frame though i guess :P However, I seem to remember Mr Reis running a King rear hub on his dual disc B20 at the bike show a few years back? Will do some measurements when i get home Mr Potts :P

I think you mean the same as me :P Whats the weight on that badboy then? :P" (Alu density = 2.68)
  14. I once looked into this - theyre called 'sprag bearings'... nothing ever came of it though, I decided (from the specs of the bearings) the hub would be too heavy, and not be able to take enough torque. Yeah, you cant really feel the weight once on the bike, but on paper it looks bad (fickle trials riders :) ). Lol, you'll shit a lot more than that :P different kind of weight though... :P
  15. Classic hub shell. Beefy as fook axle. Imperial cap head allen bolts. Totally re-designed driveshell to house extra needle bearings for more support (run on the axle itself) Axle threads removeable/replaceable. Same drive/drive rings, spring, and spring capture plate = same engagement. (108 clicks at the pedals for 18:12 gear ratio, like you said Craig :P)

Not bad :P Solid 'bars' or tubes?
  17. Do you download though, Sam? Bandwidth is what costs... and its what you use up when you download! I think Si has done it this way, because it would be tricky to keep tabs on uploads...
  18. Lower the front more :- Kick through the bike. Edit: Nope, im not. They just used the pic.
  19. - Jump harder/faster - Get right to the edge - Use the tyre squidge to help you - Watch videos! :- PS: High/hard gear ratio will hinder you.
  20. The trade price has dramatically changed recently - speak to Raleigh if you have complaints... sorry.
  21. I was thinking about this... and it'd be quite tricky. It takes a long time to get used to the new frame, since its so different - might even be classed as progress! :P Will bear it in mind though :P Cheers. Took a few 'comparison' style vids yesterday - myself on the proto, and Dave on his standard T-Rex... should be online tonight. Was a nice chilled ride on some rocks... and all I have to say is: Anyone wanna buy my T-Rex frame? :P
  22. Interesting topic...! Im not sure why they do use them - my guess would be: People like Hermance etc are sponsored, so have to use the pedals. The trials-specific shoes they use also work ok with them. Im not sure about Ashton etc... maybe theyre just used to those pedals from ages ago, when they were the only decent pedals available? I can certainly say that, from my own experience, pinned pedals seems to offer much better grip, and also have larger platforms. Many people say caged pedals work well with running-type trainers - but, i dont own any, so have never tried. Definitely each to their own though! :P
