  1. I would guess it being something to do with the Z Chains being XC chains. The Kool chain is a heavy duty chain, which is much more suited to trials. Cheers, Adam
  2. I know, but some didnt :) But yeah, will feel a lot shorter. Prices are still TBA, as far as I know.
  3. You have a DiscGoTech :)
  4. The beauty of a high BB :) That Tartybikes/Onza Proto frame I have is 15mm longer wheelbase (1100) than a standard T-Rex (1085), but 15mm shorter from BB -> bars :) The Gu also comes in 1075mm wheelbase version.
  5. You could remove it, correct, but you'd have a bit of a gap between the crank arm and freewheel (where the splined section of the crank arm is). You could always remove the bash plate - thats another option. The bashring is included to make the bike conform to British Standards, which say that bikes with front freewheels need to include a protection device (to pass, that is); as well as being very handy for the UCI types out there.
  6. Hey Stu, you'll have to email us with questions like that directly. Sorry for the inconvenience, but there are rules we have to play by. Cheers, Adam
  7. Nope! Control forks: 'The old 'Pure' fork is now 400mm in length, with the new 9mm disc mount, and is called the 'Control'. Ideal for those who like the looks and ride characteristics of a fork with curved blades. Weight is 740g, with V/disc and disc only options' The Gu fork shown on OTN has a CNC machined crown, and also is anodised black (by the looks of things)
  8. It is indeed. They also are available in 1075mm and 1100mm wheelbase. The 'Gu' forks (as seen on the bike) should also be in the country shorty :-

    New Shoes

Stiff? Put them in a vice and bend, twist etc them all over the shop
  11. Theres a few shops that have them available, im not sure who holds them in stock though. I could tell you which shops, but advertising is very strict at the moment. Cheers, Adam
  12. Matt, the Ronnie is a rear rim, and the Reggie is the front version (basically a scaled down Ronnie). You can, of course, run a Ronnie on the front if you like, but theyre a bit hefty! (And you'd have to run a 19" tyre if you have a mod bike). Reggie Ronnie Look similar, but different widths and weights. Hope thats of use, Adam
  13. Those two links are for the same bike. Which is also the same bike JT! linked you to (Y) Edit: In fact, the BikeDock spec, picture and price are all wrong, as is the Supercycles picture.
  14. Looks good... but... 'You or any named drivers must not have had any accidents or claims within the last 5 years or have any claims pending' Reckon that includes people who have been driving for 2 years, and not crashed yet? hehe Edit: Rubbish quote for me, even with an extra year's no claims than I currently have, went up about 30% from what I pay now (Y)
  15. Hey Ben, Thats something we need to speak to Vario about to confirm, but we're of the understanding that 'Semi-Integrated' means 'Internal' - which is good! Cheers, Adam
  16. Yep, which leads to longer wheelbase... :-
  17. The height is the main issue when fitting a Control booster to a mod bike though, theres a height dimension there too :-
  18. Nah, its not - measure it on your screen :- Question for you - do you understand what 'head angle' means?
  19. Theyre the stiffest alloy booster available. However, it might not fit your frame/tyre. Have a look at the dimensions on our website to check :- Adam
  20. On the left we have an Ashton... and on the right we have a Zoo 1065. The red line is what I call the 'reach' - this is the distance from the BB shell (where your feet attach to the frame) to the top of the head tube (where your hands attach to the frame). The green line is wheelbase. As you can see on the right hand frame, the head angle is shallower - ie. the forks stick out more (exaggerated on this picture though). So... even though the red line (reach) is longer on the left hand frame... the wheelbase is shorter, since the head angle is steep. If you could measure from the centre of the BB shell to the centre of the top of the head tube on your Ashton, I can do the same on a Pitbull 1065, and from that its possible to work out what length/rise stem would be needed to make the bike 'feel' the same. Hope that makes sense :- Adam
