    Well that looks... turd.
  2. Just rag / cut the shit out of it until it comes off, the new one will go back on fine without that front bolt.
  3. Yep. A bitch first time, easy after that.
  4. Nope The bolt for the wing goes through the bumper. And the bumper bolts are rusted t'fook.
  5. Brake cable is 1.6mm, gear cable is 1.1mm usually.
  6. Cool - do the water pump when you do the cambelt in that case
  7. My thoughts are... don't bother with the cam belt, they very very rarely let go and even if it does there'll be no damage, if the water pump isn't leaking leave it alone, other two belts are easy / cheap so worth doing. Cam cover: you can probably guess my opinion
  8. Is that just the 'pull' for the reverse mechanism?
  9. I haven't watched it yet, but this is exactly what I think too... The Clarkson / Hammond / May spin-off was always going to be cocking about, the BBC needed to do something different because they were never going to compete directly. Making it more car-focused would win kudos from actual car people. People who just want to see entertaining shit with cars as the sideline will watch something else.
  10. It was a in a Westfield: But yes, seen them in loads of different cars! I think you will always want 'more power', it's just natural...
  11. Yep, mine was about 260bhp, non turbo, and super reliable. So good.
  12. Good choice of engine
  13. Feedback... Drilling and tapping stainless is a twat. Can you cut more off the linkage that comes out of th e gearbox?
  14. This. Try this for holding the sprocket in the vice:
  15. Not if the insert is fitted correctly - it'll be structural.
  16. In that case I'd just modulate the throttle more I think (if you don't want to go down the LSD route), you could 'chase' this and then cause an upset elsewhere...
  17. Yeah, rear ARB would help - it will shift the balance of the car on entry and mid-corner too, though...
  18. It's definitely nothing to do with the pads - turn them round 180 degrees and you'd still have the same characteristics.
  19. Sounds normal to me, V brakes tend to do exactly that.
  20. Do it, it's a cracking set, you'll never need another Much better value buying all in one too. Exquisite 'man maths' right there...
  21. They do, good bits of kit: https://www.toolorders.co.uk/Hand_Tools_1001_Piece_Tool_Kit_Red_TCMM1001N?gclid=CjwKEAjwjca5BRCAyaPGi6_h8m8SJADryPLhswkKTTUtcgGlb_ARvrcrgFxRuVJ4R0s9Hev0OgGsrBoCRwPw_wcB
  22. I didn't even twig... Haha. Spend the money on an MX5 instead
