  1. Just the way they are made. Such a stiff section (a sold 4 bolt mount) won't flex anywhere near as much as the leg itself, so diverts all stress to the top and/or bottom of the mount - and thats why your forks broke. No worries Mike - try http://www.airevalleycycles.com as well :-
  2. I wouldn't recommend the Fly Guy forks for trials, the steerer tube isn't up to the job (hence the new one-piece steerer design on the latest forks). If you can find Pace RC32 Expert trials forks with V brake mount (NOT 4-bolt mounts - this is the stress riser Dave explained to you on the phone yesterday), then theyre pretty decent, and 435mm long. I'm not sure what shops will have them, but airevalleycycles may do :- Theyre around 1kg in weight, so a fair bit lighter than most of the long forks out there. Adam
  3. Gay (haha, sorry, feeling childish (Y) )
  4. Apart from Dan and Ash would actually do well (Y)
  5. Yep, it also does the same jobs as the 'Balance' exercises on the link i provided, but to a higher level (cos its much harder to do!). Gonna get myself one I think (Y)
  6. Nah, circles is just to keep things moving... Some decent ones here: http://www.mckinley.uiuc.edu/Handouts/ankl...nklesprain.html.
  7. Thats an ankle GUARD, not a support - its just to stop knocks. The 'trials shoes' don't offer any support worth bothering about.
  8. I would recommend actually sorting the problem, rather than just relying on a support to do it for you. Supports are great to allow your ankle to heal, but after that, you really need to work on strengthening and building up the receptors again, to prevent further injury.
  9. Surely introducing and stocking a totally new product range ties up money? (Given that the Onza R&D has been continuous anyway, and these new frames will be out before many Zona frames will have been sold). So, what you said doesn't really make sense. I'm sure Mike will have something to say anyhow!
  10. Its the same stuff you get in a set of HS33s to keep your hose tight against that random bit of cable they give you - dead easy. Josh - you have a PM :turned:
  11. Another idea: Normal braided hosing + http://www.zeusinc.com/heat_shrinkable_tub...g_heatshrinkgen (transparent colour, if you can find it) = Coloured Braided Hosing?!
  12. Aahh... I thought he was on about the actual hose, sorry. You can get the coloured end bits, but personally I reckon its not worth doing - its only a small bit of colour.
  13. Hope decided not to do red, unfortunately!
  14. It's proving that someone actually has a clue about making and testing brake pads! Plus, it wouldn't be feasible to construct such a machine for disc brakes only, I'm sure, a double-use would make a lot more sense... Edit: Looks like Big Murdoch is only for discs at the moment. My first point still stands though.
  15. Can't argue with that. http://www.plazmaticbrakes.com/rim_brakes.php http://www.trialsin.com/sell/pieces/plazmatic/plazmatic.htm
  16. I would say Plaz, with a Grind.
  17. I'd suggest getting in touch with Phil, see what he says. Sounds like an overspill of release agent, causing a split line in the pad itself.
  18. Yeah, I know what he meant... the frames will be great value, as all Onza frames, but not cheap in the same way that the T-Pro and T-Rex are.

    Tarty-bikes

DigiCroc have had to issue new passwords for security reasons, so it wouldn't connect to the database. Awaiting new password so I can sort it... Thanks Tomm, thats a really handy suggestion, something we'd never even thought about before... /sarcasm :) Edit: Site works now :P Sorry for any inconvenience.
  20. That's a REALLY old one in the shop Paul, I dont think it'll be out any time soon. The frame is sprayed light grey. As seen here: http://www.onza.com/bikes/stock/protostock...3_side_1600.jpg Yeah. Onza, RedBull, a few others. Top ten UCI World Rider, beat Hermance at one of the European Cups earlier this year. It is indeed, fitted by yours truly earlier on that morning. Brake supplied by TartyBikes. Yeah, its relatively high. Thomas is a pretty tall guy. Its an Onza 120 x 17 deg stem, large cone washer on top of the headset (approx 25mm tall), and around 120mm long head tube. These new frames are not cheap frames. They have much more work and testing going into them. Check out the pictures of the 4 prototypes here: http://www.onza.com/site_files_flash/bikes...otype_stock.htm. The top 4 pictures are of the latest prototype which Danny Butler is currently riding. Check the link above, the latest proto has a different down tube :) Who beat him Matt? Just wonderin! :P Sprayed grey, like the forks. Geometry on that frame is 1090 wb, 385 rear end, 72ish head angle, and +10bb. Not sure exactly what Dannys is, haven't been able to measure it. The latest one is much stiffer (double-ovalised down tube and wide, curved, flat seat tube to increase BB stiffness. Its also a little larger (seat tube dimension). Weight is under 2kg, so its definitely a comp-orientated frame. Hope that clears some stuff up :S
  21. Here's another I've had hidden away for a bit: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/pics/giaco.jpg

You're 16-17 right? Could be puberty - I had a clumsy stage as well!
