  1. I believe that's so the disk brake forces don't affect the suspension though, not as a bracing bar.
  2. Agreed... But nice machine Rich (Y) I want a rear disc!
  3. Which bike was this stem on previously? Either way, I'd recommend not changing it until you know it's not gonna be right for your new frame - that way you can make a more informed decision as to which stem will feel better.
  4. To try and get in her pants - duh!
  5. Finch - Three Simple Words :D
  6. So... when is this ride? I'm horribly confused, haha. Cheers
  7. The Onza Carbon Flat Bars are discontinued.
  8. Retarded BT 'Jeopardy Management' (Customer Service) person, this morning.
  9. Pretty sure the RRP on those badboys is £55... They're 2.8, as it probably says (I havent looked), and they weight as much as a small house. So, probably not the best trials tyre!
  10. 180 disc, 184 non disc, 2 cross lacing. ISO/Discgotech: 260 drive, 262 disc. Classic 260 drive, 264 non drive. Disc 260, non disc 264. Adam (Y)
  11. Thats the diameter, not the ERD. The ERD is more like 549. Front 236/240, rear 238. Adam
  12. Or you could see it the other way, that continuously pushing a pin through a hole it doesnt wanna go through will keep making ithe hole bigger and bigger, and therefore weakening your chain even more.
  13. Yup yup, 0.8mm pitch (Y)

    Weight - Hubs

Hope XC - 207g, £40 RRP Onza Hub - Which one? Profile Hub - Which one?
  15. I guess you could try fabric paint....
  16. Hellfrauds won't have anything like that - all they have is the Citreon mineral oil, which is at least 8.5wt. Water? Less than 1. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=wat...le+Search&meta= PS: Just use water AFTER flushing it all properly.
  17. Magura 'official' oil is about 8.5wt. Water is less than that, and works a lot better (when old oil is flushed out properly). You can try Finish Line Shock Oil, that works ok too, and goes right down to 2.5wt.
  18. The idea is, that you fill the reservoir right to the top, then push in the top cap/diaphragm, so theres no air room. When you pump the brake, the diaphragm is 'sucked' downwards. So, unfortunately not... nice idea though!
  19. Haha, I know, the drop is about 10ft to the floor :) Same here, far too cheesy, but I just had to do it (Y) Sorry Phil, wasn't really trying to 'show it off as my own'... Just show people some pictures.
  20. Thanks for the comments people! http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/cheesomatic.jpg - Uber-Cheese in 1024x768 (Y) Ads
  21. I run about 25 on my pump, front and rear.
  22. A sharp grind is what you need. Don't go too deep.
  23. More pics added down the topic... or click here :P Just some pics (Ben Slinger, Dave Gill, Tom Rigg) I've been snapping away at over the last few rides. We've got some pretty decent natty up here, so I've been riding that about 5 times a week or more, along with a few other guys up here :P If anyone fancies a ride at these spots, get in touch and I'm sure we can sort summat out! :P Will be riding at both of them over the course of this weekend I should think. Theyre both within 20 mins of J34 and J35 of the M6. Pics aren't really sorted out... I just numbered them for ease of typing: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/1.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/2.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/3.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/4.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/5.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/6.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/7.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/8.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/9.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/10.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/11.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/12.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/13.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/14.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/15.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/16.jpg http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/riding/17.jpg Any comments etc welcome...
