Have a look through the brake pad review topic up the top - Plazmatics seem to get excellent reviews right across the board. They were also designed for smooth rims and tar!
Yeah, they will.
Cool idea, but I dont see what's wrong with a couple of gussets. If there's an advantage in the way it makes the bike ride though, then that might be a positive effect.
Which bike was this stem on previously?
Either way, I'd recommend not changing it until you know it's not gonna be right for your new frame - that way you can make a more informed decision as to which stem will feel better.
Pretty sure the RRP on those badboys is £55... They're 2.8, as it probably says (I havent looked), and they weight as much as a small house. So, probably not the best trials tyre!
Or you could see it the other way, that continuously pushing a pin through a hole it doesnt wanna go through will keep making ithe hole bigger and bigger, and therefore weakening your chain even more.
Hellfrauds won't have anything like that - all they have is the Citreon mineral oil, which is at least 8.5wt.
Water? Less than 1. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=wat...le+Search&meta=
PS: Just use water AFTER flushing it all properly.
Magura 'official' oil is about 8.5wt.
Water is less than that, and works a lot better (when old oil is flushed out properly).
You can try Finish Line Shock Oil, that works ok too, and goes right down to 2.5wt.
