  1. And that they have that tool. Can't confess to ever having seen one! Nowt wrong with a ruler and a big adjustable

We'd all just have to agree to book onto another track day, we wouldn't get any other circuit 'privately'. For 10+ people we could probably get a bit of discount, maybe 10% or so.
  3. It's a steel frame... you'll be able to bend it back and forth multiple times without issue.
  4. That's the sort of product they are - until you've used one you get by just fine, but it's a revelation when you have one!
  5. From one gash, unrewarding, heavy, expensive to run and boring 4wd car to another...
  6. It is kinda tricky to drive on the limit - not a lot of window between the limit and sideways - but keeps you focused that's for sure! Danny - there's a stick (push-pull control cable straight onto the original bike shift lever) on the right hand side, yeah, right next to the wheel. Sounds odd but it's strangely natural...
  7. That's ace Sketchy as f**k, but ace...
  8. I would have gone with big adjustable - might need someone to help hold the frame down!
  9. Yeah, you'll just be able to bend it back.

You do know what TFTD stands for?
  11. Yeah you need to get them properly hot and stinking. A few hard stops down from 70 to not a lot should do it, don't let the ABS kick in though, then drive at speed for 5-10 mins without using the brakes to let the pads cool fully. This cures the resin within the first few mm of the pad material. People who find them to squeal aren't using them hard enough, the type of compound they are shouldn't squeal.
  12. Trials Rider. SL is top end Trialtech. Sport Lite is next (lighter versions of Sport level products). Sport under that. Race at the bottom.
  13. Good point, worth checking with where you bought them.
  14. Could it be that the clamps are 'weird' rather than the forks?
  15. Bedded them in properly?
  16. Point proven I'd say... Maybe he could come up with something better nowadays.
  17. As in, BB7 will be more suitable (IMO) than a sub-£100 hydraulic brake.
  18. 1144s are one of those pads that get good reviews from some people, and others say they are turd. It's just like trials, haha. I reckon brake pad 'reviews' should always be accompanied by a video so you can see exactly how they are being used My only experience with 1155s is on the rear, where they didn't fade and lasted about the same as the £15 pads I bought from the local motor factors, which also didn't fade.
  19. And this is why I don't rate 1144s... I've had OE pads that are better.
  20. Tends to hold better in alu frames as the material is a bit softer and lets the teeth dig in
  21. Yup - or it should hold in place fine with no cams.
  22. Or DS2500. George will chat to you for hours about this stuff if you need! Say hello from me when you order
