  1. Lighter, likes to rev (this is a sports car, not a turbo diesel ). I think it was 94 onwards they reduced the power, yep. As Mike says, a Eunos is the ideal as the spec will be marginally better, but don't stress if you find a UK one in good condition. Also as said, to find something that's half decent, you'd need to be looking at £1500+ I think.
  2. Why are you trying to pedal backwards? It probably is, but I'm not cool any more
  3. Then your weight was waaaayyy too far back - and you would have definitely gone off the back if the brake wasn't on! I don't know what the latest fashion is, I haven't done these for about 10 years But I always used to have rear brake on.
  4. Looks fine to me. Just needs more practice and being more dynamic (faster) with the moves. When you go off higher stuff, you will rotate further. Might be easier to lock the rear brake on landing while you're learning.
  5. Mk1 1600 = the best one.
  6. Bugger... But, the handlebars are nearly 3 years old?
  7. If they are what Ed says, mine always go in the bin...
  8. What are spring isolators?
  9. That's scary. So is the driving. Shows how capable the car is though to get round that quickly.
  10. We're the distributor... but haven't ordered anything for a long time. V!Z don't seem to be operating any more.
  11. Must be loads of people who've bought MeisterR / BC etc coilovers who have top mounts going spare? Tried Facebook MX-5 groups, Nutz forum?
  12. Can't you use the existing top mounts?
  13. Weirdly I thought DS3 instantly then changed my mind! It looks very... You
  14. From that panel gap, Italian?
  15. Always wanted to do a 'start from the back and charge through' race, so with sharing / borrowing the car I got to do it yesterday. The other driver did qualifying, so I didn't have a time, hence starting at the back... Much fun
  16. Yeah - it will work with patience and lots of tidying up afterwards.
  17. I had a Clarke 135TE for a bit - about £250 IIRC - was fine for anything from 1-3mm, but didn't have the beans for anything thicker or the finesse for anything thinner. Wouldn't touch gasless personally. Now have an Esab caddy 160, worlds apart. Much easier to use, much 'smoother' (hard to describe), more consistent, copes with thin stuff perfectly. Really glad I upgraded. If you can get something a bit better, you'll be much happier with the results...
  18. Seemingly so. Get the Rinard Excel one (Google it).
  19. If you want decent sound quality, you'll need a hole in the case and an external mic. Which means at least a Silver. Wouldn't bother with the Black as you won't use the functionality. Session has a small sensor so video quality isn't as good as the Silver.
  20. I still have thoughts about doing the same to a completely inappropriate car... like a 1.3 Micra or something.
  21. None... 24" was banned from dirt jump comps a few years ago, hence 24" tyres being rare now. Danny Mac tyre is your best bet.
