  1. What are spring isolators?
  2. That's scary. So is the driving. Shows how capable the car is though to get round that quickly.
  3. We're the distributor... but haven't ordered anything for a long time. V!Z don't seem to be operating any more.
  4. Must be loads of people who've bought MeisterR / BC etc coilovers who have top mounts going spare? Tried Facebook MX-5 groups, Nutz forum?
  5. Can't you use the existing top mounts?
  6. Weirdly I thought DS3 instantly then changed my mind! It looks very... You
  7. From that panel gap, Italian?
  8. Always wanted to do a 'start from the back and charge through' race, so with sharing / borrowing the car I got to do it yesterday. The other driver did qualifying, so I didn't have a time, hence starting at the back... Much fun
  9. Yeah - it will work with patience and lots of tidying up afterwards.
  10. I had a Clarke 135TE for a bit - about £250 IIRC - was fine for anything from 1-3mm, but didn't have the beans for anything thicker or the finesse for anything thinner. Wouldn't touch gasless personally. Now have an Esab caddy 160, worlds apart. Much easier to use, much 'smoother' (hard to describe), more consistent, copes with thin stuff perfectly. Really glad I upgraded. If you can get something a bit better, you'll be much happier with the results...
  11. Seemingly so. Get the Rinard Excel one (Google it).
  12. If you want decent sound quality, you'll need a hole in the case and an external mic. Which means at least a Silver. Wouldn't bother with the Black as you won't use the functionality. Session has a small sensor so video quality isn't as good as the Silver.
  13. I still have thoughts about doing the same to a completely inappropriate car... like a 1.3 Micra or something.
  14. None... 24" was banned from dirt jump comps a few years ago, hence 24" tyres being rare now. Danny Mac tyre is your best bet.

Good luck getting the Southerners to travel up there

We'd all just have to agree to book onto another track day, we wouldn't get any other circuit 'privately'. For 10+ people we could probably get a bit of discount, maybe 10% or so.
  18. It's a steel frame... you'll be able to bend it back and forth multiple times without issue.
  19. That's the sort of product they are - until you've used one you get by just fine, but it's a revelation when you have one!
  20. From one gash, unrewarding, heavy, expensive to run and boring 4wd car to another...
  21. It is kinda tricky to drive on the limit - not a lot of window between the limit and sideways - but keeps you focused that's for sure! Danny - there's a stick (push-pull control cable straight onto the original bike shift lever) on the right hand side, yeah, right next to the wheel. Sounds odd but it's strangely natural...
  22. That's ace Sketchy as f**k, but ace...
