  1. New MBK T1000 Evo2 frame to be available at the start of 2007. Geometry as follows: 1090mm wheelbase (with Koxx Forxx), 380mm Chainstays, +40mm BB rise. Weight 1.793kg/3.95lbs! Horizontal dropouts with internal chain tugs like seen on the Ben Slinger prototype frame, very neat. Pictures: Obviously these are computer generated images so far, however we have seen pictures of the prototype frames. They seem to have a glittery dark purple/black finish which looks suprisingly pimp! We also have heard news of a 20" frame and MBK parts, details of those to follow when available! Cheers Adam PS: Note to mods - tried to post this in News forum but it didn't seem to appear (I am aware the topic needs approving, however the 'Post New Topic' button refused to work! Please feel free to move this topic as appropriate.) Cheers.
  2. The lever is completely revised, as is the piston bore quality - much smoother now. Yep, see our site for pics! The price is at the RRP - they won't go down until the next series of brakes are released.
  3. Ah I see, sorry... :$ But yeah, we're always trying to find new products and they offered us cranks to test, so it would have been rude to decline!
  4. Yeah, have been for about 18 months now! Cheers for the comments, although you are a bit gay Joe.

    White Rims

Sexy beast you got there Robert! White is the bestest! Adam
  6. Dave's got a new bike... and its cool! And the lovely prototype Profile Flatland cranks, with a meaty 18T Sprocket and Ti Axle! Big thanks to Sam and Steve at Profile Europe for these badboys, we're testing them for a while to give them some feedback... So 'proto' they don't have logos yet, and the length (165mm) is written on the back of the arms in marker pen So so stiff, and only 30g a set heavier than Echo CNC cranks and an SKF BB with Echo Screw on sprocket Keep checking Dave's blog on our site, I'm sure he'll be whacking more info and thoughts up when we'd had a few more rides. Bike weight is a shade under 23lbs, which we were rather shocked about! (New digital scales for the win ) Other parts are: Echo freehub, ZOO Headset, Onza 28" Carbon Risers, Echo '07 Rear rim, Red Rock Pads, T-Master stem, 2007 Hope Mono Trial 180mm front brake, V8 Pedals, KHE Collapse Chain, 2007 Echo Lite Forks, Special Davidz Edition Try-All Booster, Crawler Tyres and Hope Braided HS33 Hose. Video as soon as we can find a night to ride when its not pissing it down and therefore actually do some good stuff Hope you like! Adam
  7. Well, it appears there's really not a lot in it... As both the setups are designed to give the same chain line when fitted with a 'normal' chainset. One thing we do have though is an Onza Taper BB in 127.5mm with an offset axle - this offsets everything approx 2mm to the drive side. This will give you more chainring clearance Give me a shout if that would be of use to you. Cheers Adam
  8. Another one, sorry... whats the BB shell width on that frame? Cheers!
  9. It greatly depends how old/worn the tapers are on the square cranks... Which exact setups are you comparing? Let me know and I'll do some measuring for you... Cheers Ads
  10. After a bit of measuring etc... I think it is *possible* but not recommended. You ideally need at least 7mm of contact between sprocket/freewheel (therefore 11-12mm of thread overall), and the Monty cranks don't offer that much unfortunately. On a similar note - some bashrings are thinner at the base than others, so if you get stuck you could try machining one down, or something really thin like a Try-All. Adam
  11. Sweet vid Ad, liked the tune, riding was beasty too! Shame we couldn't film in Blackburn... but next time eh! Catch you soon Ads
  12. Tasty! Bars look in a good place to me
  13. Looks like the circlip has popped out of the groove in the lever. I'd guess you'll need a new one, plus a re-bleed and a decent set of circlip pliers to put it all back together (if you don't already have one).

    Ribo Casas.

--> QUOTE(joe b @ Nov 3 2006, 11:44 PM) ←Or, even better... Red, white and blue Joey B signature Ribo's. Who'd like a pair of them bad boys ??? Hahahaha. Are those some of our proto ones (you got em from Dave Butler)? If so, they ming
  15. Entry Form available from here: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/DevonEntry.doc Hopefully see you there! Adam
  16. Large range of hangers available here. Depending on which frame you have, you'll either need the Koxx Mech Hanger or the Mech Hanger 1. Cheers Adam
  17. Is that for definite? The latest this morning was that the lever is still to be decided... ourselves and Monty are doing the testing and our feedback will help to determine which lever is used. Well, that's what we've been told anyway! Brakes feel good so far, not much different to the standard ones but the pistons seem to be smoother... the lever blades are also more rounded and really comfy! Ads
  18. Awesome, cheers Ah ok, just I had it down as a 10mm thick sheet with 8mm of pad material.. making 2mm recess? Either way, 4 is good!
  19. Any chance of a set Pete? After all, you have used my gluing info and material! Would be good to see how you've improved the gluing from mine too, even with only 2mm of recess. Adam
  20. I was seriously impressed with the overall quality of the DVD! I would say the filming is similar to Manifesto (its the same guy after all) and the content is really interesting for the more experienced rider. Theres not LOADS of riding in it, but the interviews are excellent and the riding shown is awesome too. Personally I would say the filming and editing is waayy above Trial Noir and at least on a par with GET (although I have only seen GET once). Desmond's a really cool guy and has been extremely helpful (he's even let us link to the trailer on his site, using his bandwidth!) so I second what Dave says Adam Edit: Just watched the extras... Benito is a monster and Adam Burns' drop...
  21. I think Geothane's a brand name Ali. The Plaz pads are PU yes, other pads are made from Neoprene, not heard of Polybutemane personally. There's millions of different compounds though, its pretty much impossible to find the exact same one that Plaz use...
  22. The picture shows the singlespeed version, however the text describes a mixture of this and the standard cross country version. Check before you buy
  23. They will fit the Echo External BB, yes. I see what you mean yeah... although the axle size options could be labelled as a positive - gives you the option of a really tough axle or a lighter one. Either way, all the different threads are a little off-putting for some, would be nice to stick to a standard like square, but I don't reckon it'll happen.
  24. Its a standard M15 crank bolt thread though, which I would have said was pretty logical!
