  1. No - the piston sizes on this brake are identical to an HS33. In fact, because of the slightly longer lever blades, for the same amount of travel at the very end of the blade this system will move the pads slightly less distance (7%). Adam
  2. Oh yeah... cheers Hoeseph Best get to bed soon then!
  3. Just found something else... http://www.bikefestuk.com/index.html (Can book pillion rides on the day) Except she has an exam that day (Yes, a Saturday!)
  4. Its a birthday present for my girlfriend, she can't ride a motorbike so the motocross one probably isn't ideal for her hehe. Thanks for the heads up about that Donington one though, will give the a ring and see if they do the pillion ride separately !
  5. 'Tarty Bike are f**king wank' I think. No idea who Tarty Bike are though...
  6. Done a fair bit of Googling, but can't seem to find anywhere that offers a decent pillion motorcycle ride as one of those 'gift experience' thingies... I have found one which is a 3 hour tour of London on a Harley, but I was more thinking a few flat out track laps. Anyone heard of anything like this, or know where I should be looking? Any help appreciated! Cheers Adam
  7. Any freewheel 'designed' for the front will also work great on the rear. Its pretty much a case of choosing your budget and finding a freewheel that fits inside it - all the trials specific freewheels are very reliable and good value for money. Adam
  8. That setup will go straight onto the V-Brake mount forks Alternatively, you could purchase 4-Bolt forks and 4-Bolt mounts.
  9. The additional parts in the Magura bleed kit are well worth the extra cost - clamping blocks for fitting barked hoses (£8 retail), 50ml Royal Blood (£4 retail), 2.3m of hose (retail approx £6), 6 olives (retail £6), 3 barbed fittings (£3 retail) and a shroud nut (£1 retail). If bought separately, the kit would cost £28 plus syringe, 2 lengths of clear hose and 2 barbed fittings to make the bleed kit up, so I would say it's well worth the cash given the amount of handy spares included.
  10. No probs Ali :wink2: So, which parts on that bike haven't been modified in some way?
  11. New pics: He says: 'It's NOT a Magura!' Ads

  15. Hi All, The Trials Is Dead DVD has now landed in the UK. Retail price is £16. If any other retailers wish to stock this DVD please contact TartyBikes for a trade price list. Thanks Adam
  16. Awesome Ben, great to see you on a bike again - look forward to more vids
  17. it actually measured 1080 with control forks. I wouldnt be put off by the extra wheelbase,in fact the reach is 10 mm shorter than the normal justice making bunnyhops and streety stuff easier, the only difference is it doesnt turn as quick and its easier for taps and stuff. Ali on adams addy again.
  18. The freewheels are completely different internally, yes, but the 20 spline removal method is the issue here. It has however been sold in the UK previously by AC though. Internally, the Echo freewheels seem to be identical to White Industries ENO Trials, and the performance of mine would certainly indicate that. Cheers Adam
  19. http://oami.europa.eu/RCDOnline/RequestManager -> number 316534. The 'issue' is with the BB tool removal spline, of which the Echo should be clear of infringing Tensile's Registered Design. We would like to be certain before beginning to sell our stock of freewheels. Gives me a little time to test one though, so its not all bad!
  20. Stiffer brake = less flex = more of the force you apply to the lever actually reaches the rim = better brake. Obviously removing a booster can allow more vibrations though, and sound is an important part of some rider's brakes - if it's quiet they reckon it doesn't work... But given the same setup, a brake with a booster added will work better than one without. There's loads of other variables though, setup, rider preferred lever feel... plenty more. But keeping everything else the same and just adding a booster will make the brake work better. Edit: IMO? Do I need that?
  21. It depends on the venue usually Hugh, if there's not a huge amount to ride it can be 3 laps of 6 or 7, which is good when there aren't many entries. If there's loads to ride though (such as Bracken) or there are a lot of entries Dave usually sets out a couple of laps of 9 or 10 So basically, no set format, the comps are usually set up to give the best enjoyment for the conditions
  22. Good lad bender, I'll be in Blue as well, should be fun! Sort your entry out now!
  23. Haha, I remember making that avatar...
  24. Awesome, thought it was... thanks for the info John - would be great if we could ride there!
