  1. Mr Porter's new steed: Wheelbase: 1085mm with Try-All fork, BB rise: 45mm, Chainstay length: 380mm, BB-Head Tube (reach): 665mm, Head Angle: 71.5 degree (feels steeper due to the fork offset which is 35mm instead of the usual 45mm). Hope you like! Adam
  2. Yep - got a Monty on at the moment but will be fitting one when I build my new frame up (arrived today )
  3. The are identical construction, the only difference is the colour and the welds to ensure the lockring stays shut
  4. Good stuff boys, should see you there with Stan, Ali and maybe a few others
  5. Was gonna suggest that too... maybe I'm biased but I really get on well with mine.
  6. XTPs for the win eh :wink2: Looks beast mate
  7. They have an expanding wedge to do it. I don't recall the ratchet rings being available separately either, so even if you did get it out, the hub/wheel would have to go back to Hope for a new one.
  8. Yeh, 7075. Ti hubs... Monty Ti hubs? Alloy also.
  9. I am certain that will have been for Next Day postage - all you need to do is select 1st Class from the menu and it would be free. Don't even need to do that - just change the postage type back to 1st Class. If you have previously had the postage type as next day/Saturday etc, the site assumes you wanted this delivery option and saves it. Yep - it's all sorted now! We'll be calling everyone who tried to place an order over the weekend.
  10. What about a Hope hub though? They don't come with a skewer. I thought weighing the Try-All without bolts and washers would ensure all the hub weights are on a 'level playing field'... The site quite clearly states 'Only 102g! (Plus bolts and washers)'. A titanium axle would make the hub heavier.
  11. Not sure... but that's a random one-off 26" frame made for a German bloke
  12. Yeah, definitely You student scum I guess that is a major issue yeah... although it's tricky to find a good balance!
  13. Good point, hadn't thought of that However, if Mr X is better qualified than Mr Y to do Mr Y's job, then why not put Mr X in his place and let Mr Y take the lower job? Or Mr Y can train himself up to keep his current job. Possibly a little 'cynical' though... Maybe I'm just a big capitalist at heart, haha? I certainly think people who work hard to get where they are tend to harbour their beliefs on that 'side of the fence' anyway.
  14. Haha... out of interest, why do you say that? I don't vote btw... I actually share the opinion of 'yoyoyo' - almost anyone can work to some extent (the asian guy doesn't look physically or mentally handicapped in any way?) and if they get the chance to take work I believe they should take it. It is made fairly easy by the government to not take that chance (IMO) but that's another discussion I guess I love the way the whole story was 'bigged up' by the paper though - I'm sure there are many English families living the same way, just they aren't singled out. Edit: And ditto pocketRocketFTW's first paragraph
  15. What about with a 22T though? Looks like it should go - would be good to check.. I'm sure Steve's scuttled off to find some measuring implements, haha!
  16. Try-All - there's nothing else in a grippy (42a) compound that's smaller than 2.1 (that I know of)
  17. 105.4... Century FM! (old man station)
  18. Had a really good ride last night, spent more time fecking about on a small slope and having a joke than anything... keen to get a competition sorted asap. Yay or nay? Ads
  19. With a flexy frame and a flexy booster, there will always be some flex. 5mm sounds way OTT - any chance of a more exact measurement? I would guess approx 2mm tops, which is fine.
  20. Copy of an email I sent around an hour ago to a lad called Charlie: Hi Charlie, Do you mean chainstay protectors? If so, it's very expensive to just get one printed as you have to pay for the tooling cost (at least £30+VAT) - however any T Shirt printers should be able to do it. Cheers Adam
  21. Oh right, haha, not good! Glad you enjoyed it
  22. Cheers for coming out guys, good to meet some new people Ads
