  1. That's pretty good for a Marino of that vintage, right? Or was it 4 weeks of wrestling to get it built, then it broke within a week? πŸ™ƒ
  2. Looks to be an 07+ blade onto an up-to-06 body.
  3. Just looks like paint flex to me. Nice thick paint on these. Strip it if you want to check for certain. Its been 12 years since this model was released!
  4. And different dropouts / hanger on the Limey.
  5. Yeah that's a weird one. All of those frames have gone through my mind too but it doesn't quite fit. Yoke looks BT raven but the dropouts are off the shelf Taiwan style... The bend in the top tube has quite a crimp in it for a 'proper' frame too! Perhaps it's a custom build? Any more photos?
  6. That's the crux of it really. Everything will break / skip / fail at some point, its just about picking what seems to be most reliable from reviews etc. The Trialtech 108 is the same as a bunch of other freewheels from other companies, but it is a solid unit. Proper maintenance goes a long way, as with all drivetrain components.
  7. Quality 😎 And you even managed to find a seat! 🀩
  8. Lovely! That engine is known as the 2ZZ, basically the same as in a Toyota Celica of similar vintage. Suits the car so well with the power all coming at high revs. I totally get you with the driver's car thing, its basically like a trials bike in car form; direct, lightweight, nimble, with no pilot aids πŸ™ƒ So cool to own your dream car - hope you thoroughly enjoy it!
  9. Not something I'm keen to get involved with at the moment, maybe that will change in future. If you have a photo of some Heatsink ones, someone familiar with this sort of stuff would be able to copy them easily πŸ‘
  10. Lovely stuff! How rare are they over there? Which engine variant is it?
  11. And all those adaptors are utter shite πŸ™ƒ
  12. Yeah had that one before. Pain in the ass. They strung it along for ages and then just went quiet when I said I wouldn't pay the insurance up front.
  13. Good to know, cheers guys.
  14. Hmm. It did sound dead fishy until you mentioned the Friends & Family bit. I too was of the impression that the buyer was at 'full risk' in this situation. Perhaps worth a call to PayPal and see what they say? Edit: Seems fairly clear here..... but still seems a bit fishy. That would be extremely trusting of the buyer! https://www.paypal.com/ke/cshelp/article/whats-the-difference-between-friends-and-family-or-goods-and-services-payments-help277
  15. Nope, the design is just bad.
  16. Seen a lot of those broken back in the day...
  17. Definitely could be done. Probably would only use them with a chain tensioner, so it will take out any slack if the ring isn't perfectly concentric.
  18. I'm finding that with ebay as well recently... Using Google returns results on ebay that I couldn't find using the search on actual ebay, weird!
  19. Putting bars back to a normal position helps a lot. Otherwise you need to have small girl flexibility to cope πŸ™ƒ
  20. Sometimes you can drill / tap the lower frame mount out to M8 and screw a boss straight in. Depends what bike it is (photo would help).
  21. Hmm. Bolts look like 'Risk' ones on at least one of the pictures? The older Magura ones are good. Or a normal cap head with a thick washer. Had good results with Hope adaptors.
  22. Same as any rim brake, except you can leave the lever on the bars in normal riding position and not have to flip it around, because the bleed port is the highest part of the system. Yep.
  23. 3 things that contribute this: 1. Crap adaptors. 2. Bolts with small heads. 3. Landing backwards with the brake locked. Can see 1 and 2 in the photos, unsure about 3 but its worth thinking about when you ride.
  24. Depends how ham-fisted you are, I guess πŸ™ƒ
