  1. Now officially an old man, Mr B is 22 today! Have a good one mate
  2. Are you on ISIS or square taper? If ISIS, the new Trialtech cranks may be worth a look, available in silver too: http://tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?id=10467
  3. Ok ok... Wodge: Opposite of wedge (wheels over an obstacle rather than being squeezed between two things) Batman: Hanging (like a bat) off forks then going up to back wheel. Pigeon: Front wheel on something, rear wheel on the flat/another obstacle about 20-30" below... your head bobs like a pigeon when you make the move. Racing pigeon: The same as above, but gap/roll into the move and then straight up. Pigeon roll: Both wheels on the flat, compress forks, load up chain, then chuck the bike to rear wheel into a manual (head bobs and you roll out). I'm sure Aran and Ali have more
  4. Wodge? Batman? Pigeon? Racing pigeon? Pigeon roll? If you want some explanations I'm happy to do them when I have a few mins... they are pretty random
  5. Haha, sorry Well... it sounds like it IS a Pace from what's been said above, but I have seen identical 'jump/trials' frames being sold on eBay for short of £50. Pace externally butt their square profile tubes and certainly wouldn't use off the shelf taiwan-made dropouts on their UK manufactured frames.
  6. No no no... that's to do with VAT!
  7. I do agree to an extent with what you're saying, for sure. A few week's worth of looking, maybe a month, can't harm, but if it's longer than that... maybe you're aiming too high, or too picky about the job you want to do... Maybe there just aren't enough jobs in your area to fit you 'ideal' situation? On the second point, I think that if you really want a better job then you will find one, no matter what it takes. I dunno... I might be just a bit biased, probably have been lucky with jobs in the past... but to me, if you want to get a job then you will get one - and even if it's not to your full potential then you will grow/rise through any company/organisation until you find the level to which you are competent at performing.
  8. Just found some more... added to the site now Sorry about that!
  9. Unfortunately not... Hydroxx 2 due out in approx 2 months. Very similar frame with a different (very cool) paint job. As far as broken frames - I've not heard of one broken by a 'normal' rider and even Gilles (Coust) hasn't broken one yet! It is...
  10. Very cool but unfortunately not a Pace... really hope you didn't pay Pace price for it mate...!
  11. wheredidthatstaincomefrom? If I wanted/needed to get a shit job, I would just make my CV shit?
  12. Ditto ... and have done in the past. Marquee erection for £2.66 an hour anyone? 100+ hour weeks not uncommon...
  13. Not that I know of. (This is a 26" by the way...) Bike looks smart.. apart from the gay pink haha
  14. So THAT's where the system fails... I wasn't fully aware of this. That needs to be sorted out asap. Regarding benefits, lazy gimps who just sponge really get on my nerves, but for people genuinely not able to work it can be a lifesaver (from personal experience) and I think it's great we have such a system set up.
  15. Apparently so, not seen proof for that though! The world record for constipation is 102 days. I'm sure I've posted that before somewhere...
  16. With brand new brakes they do need to bed in, the lever firms up a lot once the pads are dead square and they have compressed/hardened up. Mono Trial brakes really flexy at all once set up well and bedded in, espeically not the latest models!

I had the same... I just filled out pretty much all the fields with 'I AM NOT A BUSINESS' and it seemed to do the trick...
  18. Those were my thoughts exactly. They look pretty 'flat' in their shape.
  19. It's the head tube number, each head tube (fitted to disc and non disc XTP short and long, and Hoesels) is unique.
  20. See, to me that's a good design feature. If you're not a muppet then there is no need for 'safety' dropouts, they were only designed to stop yanks from suing bike companies, haha. The flat plates just make it easier to get the wheel out. You would think it's necessary on the rear too but nobody does it... As for the welds, those aren't design features But I do think the old saying 'strong, light, cheap - pick two' applies quite nicely here.
  21. Blackstone Edge... Best place ever? The pic shows about 1/8 (or less?) of the riding! The 'Summer Air' video was filmed there I think the design is actually very good. What do you reckon's wrong with em Ben?
  22. I do a bit but I'm no basher :wink2: Only really the underside of the chainstays and the very bottom of the downtube.
  23. Afternoon all, Few new bits on my steed so thought I would grab a couple of pics... - Try-All Rage bars. Only a teeny bit (1") wider than my Montys but the difference is noticeable, much better 'stance' on the bike and more control over the front wheel. - DOB forks. Nice and light, stiff, look cool and match my colour scheme (the most important bit!? ) - EBC Green front brake pads. Testing these out (very good so far!) so thought I'd best do this on the standard rotor. - Monty 221 Kamel rear rotor. A bit heavier than my Rockman but I've always found Hope rotors and Hope pads to work very well together so thought I would try it. Really impressed so far! - 13T rear sprocket. This bike seems to be made for 18:13 ratio! Just feels much more agile, snappier, lighter... love it! - Try-All Reinforced 'Light' chain. 1200kg breaking load (KMC Kool is 1300) so hardly any weaker, but about 15% lighter than a Kool. As used by all the Koxx pros and hasn't let me down yet... - Trialtech carbon headset spacers. Just carbon spacers really... but nice white logos - Few knobbles cut out of the rear tyre. Gives better grip I reckon, better mud clearing, and 45g saved. Managed to source a 13T 7075 alloy rear sprocket too so that's going on asap! Anyway... pics... Took 2 and couldn't decide which was best so you can have both Ads
  24. Well, after nearly 4 years without a bike, Ian Cooper is getting back into riding again! For those thinking 'who is Ian Cooper?', he used to ride for various big teams including Raleigh (where he had a custom titanium frame) and DiamondBack 5+ years ago. Top bloke! Weight is 9.6kg, the lightest complete 26" bike we've ever built! Pretty good considering there's not a single modification... Hope you like Adam
  25. Same... wanted to get White but Koxx are all sold out of those so there are only a few colour choices left! Looks pretty smart with the blue stickers on though
