There is a torque setting for that bolt and overtightening it WILL crack the clamp unfortunately... If you want to try and get them replaced, send them back to Magura and they will x-ray them to check for a fault in the casting - if there is a fault they will replace it.

:wink2: It's just laced, the spokes are the right length, don't need cutting down as Rob so eloquently mentioned, haha. Of course Sure... the rim is 285g, hub 103g, nipples 8g and spokes 133g. The rim is pretty crazy light, I was very suprised when I weighed it... My old front wheel was very similar to that, except the front hub was 8g lighter and the spoke nipples approx 20g less (alloy), it's 633g with rim tape (4g). So yep... yours is damn light too! I reckon it is, there is a hefty weight saving in the rim (and a 28h DOB will have 4 less holes drilled in it) plus ti spokes don't really save much (and won't last long). Might get a pic of the full bike today too... and re-weigh it haha. Cheers Ads

About 25g on the front and 30-35 on the rear.

That's right... really light dual disc mods for the win eh? I could but... it would be like 10g, I can't be arsed, and I wanna keep the bike fully un-modded. Will be a Try-All tyre, normal 20" tube, clear parcel tape rim tape and Ti axle bolts (straight off my bike as it is now). Might look into a silly light front tube as well... Don't want some crappy BMX tyre as grip is important IMO.

My new front wheel (at unbuilt stage)... Thought I needed to add some pimpness and save some weight, hehe. Try-All 'H' 100 disc hub, White Trialtech spokes, Black alloy Halo nipples and a Monty 221 Kamel front rim: Doesn't really mean much as just a number... so here's a front 20" Echo rim: Ads

Clever design... not sure the dropout area is strong enough though.

Cheers guys... probs I had with trying that: Still pretty light (light enough to leave Stan as a huge blur if I exposed ), pretty long exposure time (about 1/40 I think) required to make the background bright enough and no wireless flash (can only use mine as a slave, trigged by the on-board flash)... I will try it again though next time we're out though Ads

Haha Yeah, true, but then again smaller gear ratio = more leverage also...
-
My vote also... sexual! Gives loads of acceleration for bunnyhops and is good for sidehops (the same 'feel' as running long cranks and a 12T rear). It's also lighter (cos the cranks are shorter), puts less strain on the chain and gives better ground clearance

Evening gents, Just a few snaps from tonight... Thanks to Martin for the pics of me! Martin tap Me sidehop Same again, different lens, slightly different angle Stan dropgap sequence Martin gap to front Stan tap And one that's not come out anywhere near as well as I hoped 2 different pics bodged together... one with flash for the sidehop move and another long exposure for the background. Check the amazing rear wheel cropping around the spokes... haha. Any tips on how to make it look a little better? Tea time now! Adam

Cheers guys, glad you like the pics... was awesome to meet more new people, definitely wanna try and get to some Southern street rides this summer Jon: I wanted you in those shots, even if only to show your tan lines... Thanks again Max for the loan of the lever blade! Just added captions to all the pics... Cheers!

Sweet... hurry up with the rest hehe -
Hello all! Here's a few snaps I grabbed from the end of the day... I hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as I did (despite the sunburn, haha). Tic's tee Pauly tap Rowan... not sure what he's doing here... Something cool of course Adrian J tap Stan gap up to front from pallet in the bottom left Wheeler ramping up Bash Rimard tapping (only kidding ) Bessell up to front from mini spool in bottom right Mr Burrows with the same, Jon Mac with the camera And again, Bessell this time... Aran after stealing some Pringles from Bigman Ali just about to set up for sidehop Rowan checking the spool... Shrewsbury and Porter with the nakedness Stan getting in some cheeky practice Back to front: Fatmike, Bigman, Shrewsbury, Bessell (bottom right), Wheeler.... not sure who's bent down in the white top? Joe Baxter in the background with the wifebeater on. Checking for silly lines to try... Still pondering... Ali dropgapping like a TGS pro with onlookers Same again, different angle Porter with the same line - bit of a point and click this one but I actually quite like it! Ali C and Bessell Rich P with the tight sidehop Bessell checking the gap... And pussying out Pauly tapping again (short run up) And Stan with the same What the day was all about... Rossy G in focus, Ali C behind him, Porter in the very background (left)... not sure who the other person is, sorry! As always, if anyone wants a high res one just shout Cheers Adam

Good shit, angle-stealer haha. Cheers for sharing! Don't suppose you shot any of me? If not no worries...

Kicking a door frame Yeah... will either take pics or get drugged up... (legal drugs) or both...
-
Put it down then you dipper I have fooked my foot, not sure I will be able to ride
-
Nah, look at the weight!!
-
I'm not sure, maybe if someone sells one! About the downtube - if you look carefully, it extends behind the back of the BB shell. The downtube has a hole drilled through it to accept the BB shell, then it's welded in place and the seat tube and chainstays join to that. Should create a stiffer and stronger join I reckon.
-
Thought you might like to see some closeup shots of this rare humped beast... Weight is 8.60kg with pedals on, pretty good! Geometry Wheelbase: 1010mm Chainstay Length: 363mm BB Rise: 80mm Head Angle: 71.5 degrees Centre of BB shell to top centre of head tube: 600mm (23.6") The eagle-eyed will have spotted the pierced downtube to accommodate the BB shell... rather cool! Awww-sooome! Does anyone know if there are any DJ tees left at all, and/or if they be available to buy on the day? Haven't got myself one yet and really would like to... Cheers
-
Who's said that? We have no plans for a magazine as our stock changes so frequently it would be impossible to keep up-to-date.
-
So Dan has a wobbly ball? How do you know? Nice shots Max

9 technique chapters, each showing the technique in use in a 'real' situation and then the tutorial section: - Balance/Trackstand. - Rolling Back. - Back Wheel Hopping. - Roll Downs and Moving Down Obstacles. - Moving the bike around on two wheels and Endos. - Pedal Bunnyhop, Front Tapping and Hooks. - Static Moves: Wheelswitches/replacements, Static Hooks, Front Wheel Gap. - Side Hopping and Sidehop Gaps. - Bunnyhopping. As cheesy as the voice-overs are, the techniques covered are really useful and in good depth, all 3 of us here were genuinely impressed with it.
