Plenty more pics added...!
-
Too much is made of wheelbase... You don't hang onto the axles guys!
-
From there or from the other bit that's a little smaller? Both big though!
-
I'm currently doing nothing education-wise but... I did: 11 GCSEs (4A*, 7A) 4 A-Levels (A, B, B, D) 1 year of a BEng at Nottingham (sacked it off cos Mech Eng is booooo-ring) 3 year BSc Sports Technology at Loughborough - well worth doing But no real use for my current job... haha.
-
Did you remember to add everything up? There's often a few bits you miss, that's all... I've added up the bits on that bike that are heavier than mine and it comes to about 620g, so yeah, 8.6kg seems about right Light mod bike + good geo + dual disc = WIN!

Basher! Right so here's the rest.... the 'bike' pic was to show the blood, although he didn't do it on the gap. General pics: Most of them taken by Claire again (thank you!). Here she is riding my Koxx... ho ho ho! Ali sidehop to rear Gap from seat of bench in background Me 180 to front wheel from the low platformy thing then right over to the floor Rolling gap Sidehop preload Bunnyhop to rear Sidehop Ali batman (hang off forks then ping to rear wheel) Sidehop to rear Tom sidehop And tap Ali with his audience shortly before 360ing off Sidehop to rear on post, then up to rear Just messing about at the start of the ride Stan up to front Stan sidehop (theres gap between the wall and the brick 'box' - scary and big sidehop) Same sidehop, different angle And again... Tom manualling Jon gap to front wheel 90 degree endo Here's a little story... Ali fell off and bashed his elbow: So decided to try a gap to wallride... But it didn't work: It didn't really hurt though, so he and Stan decided to find a dropgap: Captions on a postcard: Stan didn't want to break his bike but Ali had a go after thinking about it for a bit: Made that one easy so went for the bigger one... Kinda 'dropflobbed' instead of dropgapping so didn't make it. Poor Ali... If you see the Jetty: Don't read the jokes... By now it was late so Ali got hungry: And then it was time to go home. Hope you like! Ads PS: Photobucket is SH!T, that took ages! (FTP server is down)

Yep.... I'm a lefty, but right handed and right footed (football).
-
Very - just divide one number by the other and then you can compare all gear ratios
-
I have a loooottt of time for watching riding like that, beast
-
Sports Tech for the win - a much more 'try (bodge) it and see' approach
-
Lookin good! Agree about the high front end, hehe. Liking the silveryness too Hows the discs working out so far?
-
Woo Lufbra Need to ride there again one day...
-
Only decided to go there at half 6, sorry.

Just a few snaps from tonight. New Tarty 'Bitch' bike... rides really nicely! Slinger sidehop - damn big! Stan with the same Stan gap up to rear wheel from the wall in the back... really really big gap Little up to front on the back of the bench Slinger crazy drops/gaps sequence (And a big version if you want it: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/preston12-6-8/6big.jpg ) Messing about on the ~7ft drop off the rail over the algae-infested water Attempting a large hook... wasn't happening but I like the pic Stan tap with dodgy run-up around a corner in the steps And me sidehopping... cheers to Ben for the pic! Ben chilling out Hope you like, Ads

Cheers man Certainly is! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....711&hl=xr26

There is a torque setting for that bolt and overtightening it WILL crack the clamp unfortunately... If you want to try and get them replaced, send them back to Magura and they will x-ray them to check for a fault in the casting - if there is a fault they will replace it.

:wink2: It's just laced, the spokes are the right length, don't need cutting down as Rob so eloquently mentioned, haha. Of course Sure... the rim is 285g, hub 103g, nipples 8g and spokes 133g. The rim is pretty crazy light, I was very suprised when I weighed it... My old front wheel was very similar to that, except the front hub was 8g lighter and the spoke nipples approx 20g less (alloy), it's 633g with rim tape (4g). So yep... yours is damn light too! I reckon it is, there is a hefty weight saving in the rim (and a 28h DOB will have 4 less holes drilled in it) plus ti spokes don't really save much (and won't last long). Might get a pic of the full bike today too... and re-weigh it haha. Cheers Ads

About 25g on the front and 30-35 on the rear.
-
That's right... really light dual disc mods for the win eh? I could but... it would be like 10g, I can't be arsed, and I wanna keep the bike fully un-modded. Will be a Try-All tyre, normal 20" tube, clear parcel tape rim tape and Ti axle bolts (straight off my bike as it is now). Might look into a silly light front tube as well... Don't want some crappy BMX tyre as grip is important IMO.
-
My new front wheel (at unbuilt stage)... Thought I needed to add some pimpness and save some weight, hehe. Try-All 'H' 100 disc hub, White Trialtech spokes, Black alloy Halo nipples and a Monty 221 Kamel front rim: Doesn't really mean much as just a number... so here's a front 20" Echo rim: Ads

Clever design... not sure the dropout area is strong enough though.

Cheers guys... probs I had with trying that: Still pretty light (light enough to leave Stan as a huge blur if I exposed ), pretty long exposure time (about 1/40 I think) required to make the background bright enough and no wireless flash (can only use mine as a slave, trigged by the on-board flash)... I will try it again though next time we're out though Ads
