  1. That's what pretty much every rider over the age of 20 started trials on, yep
  2. Hmm... info here: http://www.supercycles.co.uk/site_terms_and_conditions.asp
  3. Any chance of a pic of what you have? That video is for Evo2, sounds like you might have Evo mounts...

Your posh titanium ones do, the standard ones don't http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?pr...;category_id=75

  6. Oops, I can't read, just assumed you were on about a Pro II trials! :$ (Since that's what us trials riders often call them instead of using the full name.) Erm, in that case I would give the spring-tweaking a try, the force they apply to the pawls is HUGE compared with other hubs of similar design, so reducing the force a bit can only help to increase spring life I would have thought!

Yeah, you can run it like that. I very much doubt the tensioning bolts would damage the thread on the axle bolt, but even if they did a little, it's outside the hub so this wouldn't affect the internal thread on the hub's axle. Punishment
  8. Yeah that's what I was just thinking... possibly something to do with the extra engagements.

It's an M6 thread, as opposed to M5 on brake mounts. If anyone strips that thread I will personally go round to their house and sellotape ham onto their fists
  10. Ah-ha, I think that's where the prob lies... the extra frequency of engagement compared with being on a trials bike rapidly decreases spring life. I know they are sold as an SS hub too, but I have heard of similar issues there. Maybe try bending the springs 'downwards' a little so the pawls are pressed into the ratchet with a little less force. Do this somewhere along the length of the spring though, not at the tight bend close to the freehub body.
  11. It is being used on a trials bike? Which lube are you using?
  12. Really weird... is it possible that there has been a slight installation error..? I'm sure you're aware bending the spring will make it weaker, but just to check, they aren't being bent at all during fitting?
  13. Nowhere near as good as last time http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=816689 Double whammy http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=816732

They are 12mm diameter where the bearing is, but then turned down to 10mm for the dropout... means you get a stronger axle at the areas necessary. The current rear hubs are the same
  17. Inspiration from someone else's (super over complicated) solution: http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=814096
  18. Think I'm gonna head to Blackpool or Morecambe... I'm in Morecambe tonight so don't wanna ride too far South... cheers for the suggestions though guys!
