I'm pretty sure (but not certain) that Bracken is open every Saturday, you just need to sign in and pay £3 to cover insurance. When we went, we weren't strictly allowed to ride because of the moto trial the next day, but I was polite and said we would stay out the way so it was fine I don't have any contact details for them sorry

I will check for you Hehe, well... there is a 799 bike available but we didn't think the spec was 'right' for the UK market: http://k-124.co.uk/product.php?product_id=...category_id=195, so asked for this 1299 bike to be built. So, they have made a new spec and the price comes out to 1299 (RRP in Euros). It should be around £1099 in the UK.

Here are some snaps of YaaBaa's new model, the 1299. It's a streey-parky-trialsy mixture, looks extremely fun to ride. Geo will be measured when they arrive, but I believe it to be around 1060mm wb, 72 head angle, +10mm BB, 385mm chainstay. The bike features horizontal dropouts, front (190mm) and rear (160mm) Magura Louise discs, 18:14 gear ratio, 170mm cranks, Tioga 24" Rims, Kenda K-Rad tyres, Resurrection saddle and seat post, Try-All Rage riser bars, Try-All NUC stem, Try-All freewheel and ISIS cranks and bottom bracket. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is really well proportioned and designed to handle 'standard' trials, streety-type trials, park and even light dirt jumping. The final person we were awaiting a deposit from pulled out late yesterday afternoon. Now, obviously this makes it very tricky! We have decided to run the trip anyway (at a loss since we don't feel it's fair to ask everyone else for an extra £35 at this stage) unless there is anyone who would like to jump on board at this late stage at a price of £200? (The deposit was non-refundable so we already have that part of the payment covered.) Either way, booking for ferry etc will be made this week and emailed out and posted here for all to see. Yeah, as Nick said, it's worth the proper tools so you can get the proper torque. The recommended setting is 35Nm... which works out to 3.5 bags of sugar hanging off a bar which is 1 metre long (kinda hard to imagine how much torque this is though...). If you are only using a 5cm long allen key from a multi-tool then you need 70kg of weight hanging off it (ie. probably all your body weight) to create enough torque... which would snap the tool.

Sorry to hear about that - I hope everything gets resolved smoothly (whatever it may be - sorry if those are the wrong words to use but I can't think of anything more 'generic'). Regarding frame testing - as long as the Aussies are happy with that arrangement then I think it makes sense to switch the locations around for weather reasons as you said. Cheers! Adam

I would second the thoughts that the pedals were run loose - this is the only way I have ever seen a pedal thread strip out. Step 1: Use plenty of good quality grease Step 2: Use a pedal washer Step 3: Make sure you keep checking the pedals are tight, especially when your cranks are new
