  1. Way lighter than an Eagle Claw - the Stiky Lite is around 850g (I have one).

    Car Vs Money

Sell the car, buy something cheaper that won't cripple you - or just leave it as is.
  3. I9s haven't been tried and tested on trials bikes though, they *could* be amazing but nobody knows yet... King do post data about their hubs, tested to 800 ft-lbs, more than an I9 which claim 700 I think?

    Maxxis

They were both Echo, both were new, and one of them was largely comprised of titanium
  5. Be reet... had a few rides on a hub I modded in the same way before I killed my ankle, worked perfectly (which was quite surprising actually, haha) Not that I can condone that sort of modification, of course...
  6. Got it in one... We'll see how long it takes before I have a trip to the dentist
  7. That was the plan! But the hub doesn't seem to be up to it... Got a (96 engagement) Pro2 on standby... haha
  8. Wheelbase = a bit long, need some Inspired forks...
  9. At first I thought 'uh oh, professionally produced video about a trials rider... gonna be the usual terrible filming, cheesy...' - but NO! That was awesome, the perfect sort of 'level' I thought, balancing riding clips with chat and very 'to the point', nice one!
  10. Nice man! When you have something built let me know and I'll come grab some photos
  11. Snow camo frame fading into a black front end?
  12. It very much depends on the rest of the parts - could be anything from 9kg to 12kg.
  13. ... even that batch of a few hundred was completely fine, apart from two sets. One was Matt Burrows and one was Ben Slinger, both broke where the brake lever clamped to the bars (stress riser) if I remember correctly. Apart from those two I've never heard of another set bending or breaking, even the prototype sets which were 10% lighter than production!
  14. Inside --> Hub bearing - washer - cam - dropout - axle bolt washer <-- Outside http://tartybikes.co.uk/images/echotr/large_trrear116d2.jpg
  15. Maybe, but the BB is flat and riser bars will up the bar height a fair bit.
  16. I would bang a set of riser bars on there and keep it 'as is' dude, rear disc will be pricey and probably break the frame quickly.
  17. You should get some white rims Rob
  18. Loving the Monty, very oldskool! Shame about the Echo - however, if you get a higher rise stem on there the bike will feel COMPLETELY different, something like 110 x 35 degrees ish and I think you'll enjoy it a lot more...
  19. How much clearance do you have on the left John? Probably worth sticking a slim spacer between the drive side BB cup and the frame. Second best would be removing a bit of material from the back of the crank arm if you are confident with that.
