  1. You betcha, just say the word!
  2. like to have actual grips rather than just holding onto your bars,
  3. Next working day to you in the USA for £47, usually before 10:30am unless you are in a remote area (obviously the Icelandic angry volcano has put paid to that sort of speed for the moment, but that's the usual drill!)
  4. Cool So, in trials, it's the same - no brakes = you have to commit more (plus the other 'benefits' listed above), brakes = more consistent. Everyone's a winner! I'd have thought you would embrace this Phil, as an oldskool rider yourself! Getting 'bored' of trials and making it a new, fun challenge is what brakeless is about for me. I'll never be much good at it (certainly nowhere near as good as Rowan, Stan, Ali C, Ben Travis) but I don't care as long as I can enjoy riding again.
  5. Yep: http://tartybikes.co.uk/media.php?group=guides&id=1 - 1:30 Mins onwards. As said, a TR sprocket will probably do the job, or flipping your Trialtech one and sticking a slim spacer in.
  6. You could say the same about brakeless BMX then, there is no point as it makes it harder/impossible to do certain tricks? (Not meant to be argumentative - just making a point!)
  7. It's like learning to ride trials all over again, but in fast forward. You start off completely useless and feel scared of everything, but you learn so fast - that's what makes it fun for me! Can be frustrating at times, but if you look at obstacles with no expectations that's the best way to look at it. I think you do need a fairly high level of 'standard' trials competence though, as it's way too difficult if you're trying to learn the basics at the same time.
  8. They will fit - it's a BMX hub The bolts are 3/8" (9.625mm I think) and the hole on the cams is 10mm.
  9. Another tweak: Even more updated? Matte black that doesn't look black in this photo...
  10. It's the same as the Try-All, but with holes for extra 'snap in half across the holes'ness...
  11. Yeah, they aren't meant to cover your ankles.
  12. Correctamundo. For some setups, the front actually works better than the rear on the rear.
  13. Haha, I'm not really good enough to sustain a full video yet (This was Mark by the way!) Cheers though
  14. The clue is in the name - the 108.9 has 108 engagements and 9 pawls, the 36.6 has... you get the idea
  15. They don't offer ankle support:
  16. Thanks for the comments gents, glad you like it! New version now uploaded (just the last few clips have changed, and one extra)... Lee Mill Quarry is near Bacup, Lancashire: Google Maps
  17. Hello all, Here's a new video I boshed together last night using some clips of Mark and Stan from Lee Mill Quarry on Sunday. Tried to make the video quite 'fun' but still hopefully shows what's possible with your brakes off! http://vimeo.com/10925773 Hope you like Cheers, Adam PS: I missed a clip by accident so there will be a new version uploaded later... I'll change the link once it's done. PPS: New version up!
  18. Just had a chat with Matt and things are looking quite promising A price for showers and camping has been agreed with the landowners and will be included within the donation fee of £6 that Matt mentioned above. Our idea would be to sell wristbands for the event through TartyBikes, which would have a few benefits: - You get your 'entry' confirmed before the event, so you can get yourself sorted out as soon as you arrive without having to queue and pay for entry. - We can get a good gauge of interest prior to the event. If it didn't go ahead for any reason we would of course offer a full refund to everyone. We still need to chat over a few details but would like to get some feedback about the above if poss? Cheers! Adam
  19. Bummer Hope it heals quickly! What exactly have you broken? Chipped the medial end off your tibia? Regarding shoes, there aren't any trials shoes that offer ankle support, so it would happen with any brand. The only thing that can help during an ankle inversion is an ankle brace.
