  1. The 'locking things' one seems quite common! There's a local rider who's the same, even gets other people to check his car and house sometimes I don't really have anything OCD-y that I can identify, but when I'm making a drink (orange squash for example) I always fill the glass, take a sip, then fill it back to the top again - I can stop myself from doing it if I want, but I think it's just become habit now
  2. Police in 'giving a shit about stolen bike' shocker - great to hear you got it back!
  3. Haha yep, there is nothing that fills that brief unfortunately.
  4. Not in your dad's car eh, especially after that Welshman kicked it
  5. Very unlikely, although Matt will know more than me. To find a place with camping, showers, a woodyard right next door, field to park in plus far enough from houses that you can make fires and blow stuff up - near a major city - would be impossible. Will reply to rest of stuff asap

  7. Hi guys, I had a good chat with Matt (Barlow, 'mintsauce' on the forum) yesterday and we think that, hopefully, the first Tarty Days ended up being worthwhile...? We would like to repeat the event in future years but would like some honest feedback from you guys regarding every aspect of the weekend (organisation, riding kit, camping, showers, etc). For example, one of the main things we identified was that the riding was probably a little limited (due to the course being designed for the Woodfest then borrowed for Tarty Days), so we would like to make sure there's more intermediate/beginner stuff available next time. Any thoughts regarding which aspects of the weekend we should keep would be welcomed also - I think the water balance beam is pretty much a dead cert? Anyway, thanks in advance for your help! Adam
  8. (farmer accent) That weekend, we 'aaas been mostly usin', Sigma 18-50 f2.8.
  9. Yep, although because it's a good quality item it is usually bang on spec, unlike some cheapo sprockets which can be oversized.
  10. 1.37" is ISO standard and 1.375" is USA 'standard' I believe.
  11. Glad it's still working The main reason this works is that the strong bit of the thread is as the base, but you've only taken the very tips off the threads on your cranks.
  12. Looking at the photo, I'm 99.9999% sure that the sprocket you used is 1.375". If you fitted a good quality 1.37" sprocket to those cranks I'm confident there is plenty of thread left to work fine.
  13. Might have to use a pump/air line, blast it out.
  14. Dave@CoxWebDesign says: "All of the sql injection attack attempts are addressed through the PHP code using PDO before anything is written to the database. The only result that kind of hack will achieve is altering the output shown to the particular user that is trying to hack the site."
  15. Yep... He has a (much needed) new rim on now.
  16. Haha, I wondered how long it would take before someone noticed it Glad you like the video, thanks guys!
  17. What bashring is that? Looks quite thick...
  18. Hello all, Here's a video we filmed in the middle of May, but I just got round to editing it. Some of the filming is a bit sketchy but the sun helps to make it look better, haha. Cheers, Adam
  19. Ah cool - have a watch of this: http://tartybikes.co.uk/media.php?group=guides&id=16 For the BB, go for 73mm shell (if you can find one - they are rare though) with 127.5 or 128mm axle length to make sure the chainring clears the frame. You can use a 68mm shell BB with no problems, all that happens is the left hand cup disappears inside the BB shell on the frame a few mm.
