  1. That's the spirit - wouldn't be the same without you there!
  2. Awesome stuff, sounds like it went pretty well then! Thanks again for putting it on. Will give you a bell sometime this week dude.
  3. For me - metal, because your brakes will work better. Simples.
  4. Tees are here and looking good!
  5. Not at all - but you would need to park in the 'main' car park until the Woodfest clears out (probably about 6-7pm on Saturday), at which point you could move your car to the Tarty Days arena
  6. Nothing new there then! Sweet pics, of course
  7. Skip, massive cable reels and more stuff now in place. Looks really good fun, gutted I can't make it
  8. The tyres aren't super light, so they probably add 700g or so over light tyres. That puts it at 9.3kg, which is a pretty normal 'real' weight for a relatively light 26" bike.
  9. Been down at the park since 8 helping Joe set up, got a big skip and another large cable reel arriving later on today, so will nip out and grab some more pics at lunch. Speed trials course at the front should be interesting! The idea was to make the obstacles small so everyone can do it. I can't make it to the event but I've left some prizes with Joe for a mini speed trials comp and also 'spot prizes' for people who are pushing themselves. More pics later!
  10. Yep. When I have 5 spare minutes, more dates will be added.

    Custom Hub

Carbon bit is about 90% done. Just need to resin the last layer and cut it down, then bond it into the hub. All of which seems to be taking forever... one day...!
  12. Both ways is always going to be better/please most people. However, I think the current system works really well, I'm pretty sure I would spend more time/effort zooming/scrolling around the map to find a location than I did typing it and hitting enter.
  13. Bit of a bump - got a new camera-related toy to play with http://tartybikes.blogspot.com/2011/05/time-lapse-test.html
  14. Pretty cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/M6-X-1-0-HELICOIL-THREAD-INSERTS-1-5D-/270741495578?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f09735f1a
  15. People will say fitting a booster makes the brake 'worse' - but it's usually down to setup or decrease in noise (and therefore perceived reduction in performance).
  16. Yeah, with second hand parts it would be cheaper of course. Not sure, it was a very popular frame but Onza don't supply it any more.
  17. Really? I would like to see the spec if you have it, we always try to get our customs bikes down to the best price for the parts. The Comp frame is discontinued, so the bike will be removed from the site shortly anyway, but interested to see how you could do a better spec for less money so we could perhaps do a build on the next model of that frame
  18. For BBs, this isn't usually the case. Take them out and measure them, I think the ones we stock will fit. Notchy bearings is usually the sign of a problem elsewhere - knackered crank splines, BB shell needs facing, etc.

    Stolen Bikes

Rubbish I doubt they'll end up this far North, but I'll keep my eye out dude!
  20. Completely different batch. We'll probably never know exactly why mind you.
