  1. Just don't buy Forge stuff? You're only paying for George's Facebook name royalties anyway.
  2. The frames are the same strength really. As said, the parts may not be to your tastes though Dave, you may be better off with a 2nd hand Inspired.
  3. No worries - it's pretty straightforward so I am sure you'll sort it, but if you want any more help just shout
  4. I'm quite sure there was cash in with the return parcel (this is what I usually do since most people don't notice a small amount like that going back into their account) - but if you didn't find it, please email us with how much it cost and we will obviously reimburse. Any probs in future, please let us know at the time, we do like to get them sorted straight away rather than a month later.
  5. That's fair enough - and sensible! And so is the second thing
  6. Ah sweet - glad it was useful! Nah it's not boring at all, the guys really helped me getting into it so the least I can do is the same for you Haha, yeah - in fact it didn't sell, so if you are serious you should get in touch. Paul Sheard preps good cars, although that one is only about an hour South of here (therefore a trek for you).
  7. Any M5 washers will do the job. Might need longer bolts too. Or it might run without any washers, which I have seen before.
  8. Sounds like a plan then! Might have already linked to it, but hopefully be some helpful info in this thread: http://www.mx5nutz.c...showtopic=95909 You have a few months before the season starts, although now is the best time to buy a ready prepped car. I saw a couple go on eBay last week at good prices... I said it before but I'll keep saying it cos I mean it ( ), give me a shout if you want to know anything
  9. Probably wanna do a few trackdays first anyway though, unless you really wanna go in at the deep end!
  10. I also think the topic is a bit weird But in answer to your first post, those two stems are different. One is a 25.4mm clamp. However I am sure anyone can order the same stem as the Trialtech with their logo on if they buy enough quantity. It's a good stem - cheap, light AND strong. You could do a custom tooled stem but it would be more expensive and not really any better, so why bother?
  11. So that's a good reason to not start a new one?
  12. Haha - yeah I failed there didn't I... Yeah fair play! I'm not knocking it, I just don't think it looks good :$ Oops, my post wasn't very clear - yours looks perfect IMO!
  13. I'm a 'function over form' man I think That's exactly what 'annoys' me about stanced cars. Absolutely each to their own though, I can see why you would want to ruin a car like that (jokes) Track day yesterday:
  14. Civic looks sa-weeet. Just aggressive enough, not over the top! I don't like cars with 'lows' though :$
  15. Anyone else still to submit judging results? I have a feeling I might have been last :$
  16. Yep, that works a treat on those clamps (they are the best clamps ever by the way, when combined with Echo alloy washers), but DON'T file the tabs off on TNNs etc.
  17. Yeah, I'm struggling too, maybe half way through at the mo...
  18. Yep it'll work and yep the Hope is an open system.
  19. That's cos they are on your account
  20. It's possible, but you will need new connectors and seals, and the brake will barely have any power.
  21. Yep, oil filled for the win. You might find its on full blast all day though, given the window situation...
  22. Yep, quite an important one, hence the original question - the 160s have less thread.
